my kid is only like just over two years old
Note: my kid is only like just over two years old, so he's not cutting himself yet. I bought this book as an early Christmas gift because it was under $3 and looked like something we could start working on within the next six months or so. And I figured I should catch it while it's cheap. To be fair, you could probably print all these same activities off Pinterest for free, they are pretty simple. But I love how this doesn't just include cutting lessons, but kind of like an actual craft with cutting and pasting - something my toddler already loves to do. That's something that made this book stand out to me, it isn't just a cutting book. Seriously why aren't there more of these out there?!Anyway, I included some photos of the different activities it has so you can get a feel for it, which as a visual person, is what I count on before buying anything especially book related. You'll notice also the pages are perforated, making for easy removal. So easy in fact I almost tore it just by turning the pages. Has enough activities to keep a preschooler busy for at least a few rainy days if not a week or so, depending on what they do with the activities and how you can spice it up. I'm honestly surprised at how many pages were actually in this book, considering it doesn't feel super substantial. For under $3 this was a great deal.

Both my kids perfected their cutting skills with this one!
Great book! My 6 year old son loved it when he was 5. So great I just bought another for my daughter who is now 4 and a half. Like this MUCH better than most cutting books and the kids are actually creating something in this book. Cutting out windows to create a building, putting wheels on a bus, etc. My son followed the work of another reviewer and created a city on his bedroom wall. There are a few of the dopey pages like most books have where you just cut on a line or zig zag, but most of the pages are clever and cute. They will cut all shapes and be an expert by the time they are finished. Look at the Maped spring scissors for cutters having a hard time. They really gave my daughter the confidence she needed to get going at a younger age.

Great!
I love that this cutting book includes pasting! It's a clever way to make the inevitable small paper pieces somewhat useful. I also love that the pages are perforated for easy removal. It doesn't have a whole lot of logic or progression, but there are plenty of basic and a few more advanced pages. I wish it started easy and progressed, but it's easy enough to choose the appropriate pages as my daughter develops her cutting skills.

Great cut-and-paste book!
My 3-year-old absolutely loves this engaging and attractive book. It is the best cut-and-paste book I have seen. There are some activities that just require cutting (squiggles, zigzags, squares, circle, etc), and some that are cut-and-paste. The pictures are clear, fun, and very colorful. I do feel a LITTLE guilty that she just chops up the book, then it's thrown away, but I justify the waste by recycling….. I highly recommend.

Colorful and varied
Beautiful colors. My three year old loves to cut and paste - so I thought this would be right up his alley. I have bought 4 or 5 different cutting books for him, and this one is my favorite in regards to the colors and visual appeal. It has a variety of shapes to cut which I also appreciate to increase his skills. I love that there is a certificate in the back to complete when he has done all of the cutting pages. While he hasn't completed this book to earn the certificate yet, he has completed a different one with certificate and would proudly show his certificate on the refrigerator to visitors at the house. I highly recommend this Cutting & Pasting book. There are instructions to help your child hold/use scissors effectively.

Great for littles learning to cut!
My 3 year old loves these pages. I purchased kid friendly scissors from Target and she can independently complete the cutting activities with some supervision. We have done approximately 10 pages and I love how the book increases in difficulty level. Great way to introduce cutting and pasting without being repetitive.

Great purchase.. Shes gotten addicted to video games.. But This book put a stop to that! Yea!
My granddaughter is 3 1/2yrs old she has gotten addicted to video games and wouldn't do much else. But now that this book arrived - everyday after preschool she heads straight for it! Shes totally forgotten about the video games and I couldn't be happier! She has went through the books doing 2-3 pages a day. She still struggles with the circles though she does great it she goes slowly. The only gripe I have is towards the end too many pages of the book were are all about cutting out circles(You do thinks with them like put on a car) when my little girl seen this she got disheartened and stopped. But for a little bit older child it would be fine. (But she does have excellent scissors skills for her age!)I just feel like they should vary it more.

Hit and miss
First off, this book is more for kids who have started using scissors and need to practice or develop skills. It’s too advanced for little ones who have never used scissors before. Some activities in this book are great and some are not. Some pages have a great cut and paste approach (eg. Cut out the sun and paste it in the sky) but others are just pointless.... (eg. Cut along the road - which basically just leaves you with a page with a giant cut down the middle). For the $ it’s a decent enough activity book but a bit disappointing. That said the colors and pictures are great and the pages are perforated so you can tear them out of the book, which is nice.
