Not a bad bike for the price!
Got this bike for my son as his second ever bike. We initially looked at the big name, apparently "ultra-safe" bike, but we were turned off by the non-stop emails the company started sending us. And then the cost... they want HOW MUCH for a bike they openly admit my child will outgrow in less than two years??? Yeah, no. We started looking for more reasonable options and found this bike. It has most, if not all, of the same features as that "protective" bike, but for a lot less. Assembly was relatively quick and simple. The only issue I had with the bike was one valve stem tore out of the innertube of one tire... Thankfully a local sporting goods store had the right size in stock on the afternoon of Christmas Eve. My son loves the bike and enjoys riding it, which is more than could be said about his first bike. He's crashed it and dropped it a bunch of times but you cannot tell, it's just that durable. It may be a little on the heavy side, but that just builds character (and muscle)! When he outgrows this one, we'll probably buy the next size up.

Light weight bike
If you are looking for a bike for your kids then this is the good one in the market. I did a lot of research before buying this bike for my 6 years old. This bike is light weight, adjustable seat to fit my kid’s height, easy to assemble, and very sturdy. I tried this bike my own and there was no problem with this bike carrying an adult like me.

Easy to assemble, good quality
Assembly was quite easy. The brakes needed some adjusting, as expected. But overall the bike is quite nice. Haven’t had to adjust or retighten any of the fasteners since initial assembly, and it’s been ridden quite a bit.

Great bike for the money
Bought this bike for my daughter. She loves it and it has held together nicely considering she is a little rough with it.Only reason for 4 stars is because there is a coating on the paint in certain areas that causes the bike to be dirty all the time because you can’t wash whatever is on it off in these areas. Not a big deal.Great Bike.

Quality, great color and fits just right
Took some setup but has been great for 8 year old. Basket and customization with stickers are excellent. Quality compared to others.Basket is really cute to hold things and wouldn’t hesitate to buy again.

Brake knocks out of place
Amazing!!! My daughter rides her bike almost every day…One concern I do have is that the brake keeps knocking out of place 😕

Great quality
Great quality. A little heavy just for my daughter’s weight but otherwise easy to ride. Multiple ways to adjust and you can’t beat the design.

Almost returned it - so happy I didn’t!!
When I put this bike together, I was surprised and disappointed that I had paid for a new bike (20 inches) that was not actually much larger than our current bike (18 inches). So much so, that I decided I would return it and went back to trying to teach my daughter (7) on her current bike. When I couldn’t raise the handlebars on her current bike, we tried the Retrospec again, using the same method (taking pedals off and lowering seat, then raising seat and putting pedals on after she could coast and control the steering). It was amazing how much easier this bike was for her to ride and control. It may not look much bigger, but I think they designed it this way on purpose. She will still get a few years out of it, and I am thrilled with the quality and style, as well as ease of riding. We will absolutely upgrade to the 24 inch of this same bike when she’s ready. It was $200 and two evenings well spent. Highly recommend!
