CasioFX-260Solar - calculators (Pocket, Basic calculator, Black, Plastic)

I had a Casio fx-82 solar fraction for about 20 years, which is ideal for the accountancy work I do (10 digits rather than 8, but not overly "scientific"). Sadly a lot of the detail above the individual keys has rubbed off over that time, so I can't see what "shift" then a number key will actually do, although it does still work. So this is a replacement for the fx-82. It doesn't look as if I will have the same rubbing off problems, but even if I do, I reckon 20 years useful life is pretty good.Although the title on Amazon was "Calculator Scientific" it's actually a Casio fx-260 solar fraction. The only real difference is that instead of having a specific "memory in" key to clear the memory and key a new figure in, you now have to press the shift button then MR. One extra key to press, so no real problem. And as a benefit, instead of the "memory in" key, there is now a "backspace" key, to delete the last keystroke rather than having to press clear and then retype the whole number again. It's still solar powered, so no batteries required. I'm looking forward to another 20 years of use!

It works, does scientific functions, but doesn't do fractions

Es una buena calculadora y viene como nueva aunque no en empaque original, pero lo único malo es que no tiene como apagarse y siempre está encendida, aunque al ser solar la batería se recarga sola.

My husband loves these calculators, he uses them for work as a machinist all the time and we have one at the house as well. He wanted this older version as it is like the one he has and after looking at the add for the newer version he decided to stick with the tried and true older version. He bought two in case his gets stolen or broken at work. The calculators last a long time even at his dirty work place so they are well worth the money. So glad to find the original version on Amazon.

Generally fine product but delivered with scratched on the cover as per image.

化学系の研究者です。Excelが有るので昔ほどは出番がないですが、関数電卓は昔の単三電子4本＋発光ダイオードの時代から愛用しています。このカシオのシリーズは2台目で前回は黒色でしたが、気分を変えてピンクにしました。我々の世代はsin(30)は、30 sinでないと使えません。関数のこれだけあれば充分です。
