a must for the NMP course
I think this book is great, it's a quick reference but is full of all the key points you need to know for the course, including the mnemonic WHAM2 and EASE and the prescribing pyramid which was useful for a structure for the essay. The thin pages are similar to those in the BNF and you will be used to those by the end of the course!! I think this is a great little book, I will keep it and refer to it for a long time and ps, it was recommended to me by an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. I thought I'd lost my first copy and ordered another as I felt it was a must have for the course. I found my first copy so am now selling the second one I ordered (Tufters).

Small but mighty!
An essential book if you are undertaking the non-medical prescribing course. It contains everything you need to know throughout the course and your exams, in a concise but comprehensive, and easy-to-read format. Small enough to carry to keep in your work bag as a quick reference guide.

A very useful resource.
I felt compelled to write a review, as i feel bad that this book so far only has 2 stars. I really like it. Yes, the pages are very fine but that is the style of the Oxford Handbook Series, and the benefit of this means they can fit an awful lot of information into a fairly small book. It's 500 pages, and only 16mm thick, which makes it ideal to fit in ones bag. I am nearing the end of the nurse prescribing course, and have had this book out of the library since the begining of the course. I'm now going to buy my own copy. Although it is not a hardbook it is fairly robust, my library copy has spent most of the last 6 months travelling around in and out of my bag and it really isn't worse for wear. The style of writing is a combination of bullet points and text, and depending on your learning style, makes it very useful to revise from for the prescribing exam. There are many prescribing books out there, I also like The New Prescriber (Lymn et al)but it is not nearly as portable as this one. If you are looking for a book that you can dip in and out of, take with you to learn when you have 5 minutes to spare, and will give you concise explanations for everything prescribing related then you can't really go wrong with this book.

Covers most of the non med prescribing syllabus
I wish I'd seen this book sooner and that it had been on the uni reading list. It covers everything I needed...not in massive depth but it is a quick go to guide. Very useful
