Wee bit of shaving to fit-work great.

I bought this item to do some small scale brazing on surfaces I would rather not be hit by the heat from a blow torch. I worked well, perfectly insulated the surface below from the heat. 1* dropped as one corner of the block was damaged in transit and crumbled away on opening the packaging. It is a small piece and didn't affect my usage but a little annoying.

Found a hole at the back of our existing wood burner block and exact replacement. Peece was very expensive almost 5 times the cost of this so I cut out a square around the hole and then cut a square of this and shoved it in probably a year ago now. It is held out very well. It is only fallen out once when I hit it with a piece of wood And I still have plenty spare but if it happens again.More difficult to cut than I thought it would be - pretty sturdy stuff! Seems to be doing the trick for stopping the fire getting too close to the metal work without any gluing required I think as long as you get the whole size right everything will be fine

Great fire bricks

A rectangle sized piece from the top of my wood burner had come off and then deteriorated with multiple reapplications. This replacement was board as opposed to the fire brick original (I noticed that the complete replacement is also of the no brick/ board composition). This made it easy to configure to size and to cement. So far so good.

Unfortunately this brick was broken on arrival. However as I required I smaller piece, I was able to rescue the situation

I can't comment on the functionality of these as I had to return due to messing up the measurements, however they were exactly as expected, albeit one corner had been dented in transit so perhaps could be packaged a bit better
