A great variation of a great knife
The Dragonfly 2 hawkbill was long awaited after many requests on the Spyderco forum. This little knife delivers great ergonomics in a small package and the teeth make it a workhorse of a small knife! Pros: ergos, H1 steel is rust proof, so light u forget it's there. Cons: what happened to choil jimping? Choil is slightly shallower than standard dfly to accommodate the blade shape. I might knock off half a star for the missing jumping; otherwise, this is another great variation of what I believe is the best small knife you can own. Clam packs and zip ties beware, this knife means business. Won't be a primary carry, but I can see this being a perfect compliment to a plain edge Spydie for a lot of days to come. 4.5/5 for me.Update: Lost this knife, buying it again. Proven itself to be a great little knife especially for tough cutting jobs. Really is a great secondary carry to go along with a larger plain edge knife.

Puts the “cut” in “cute”
As the legendary musician David Yarritu said "I may be tiny, but I'm strong!"Little knife is little, but great knife is great. This Dragonfly weighs next-to-nothing and fits in a watch pocket but it is very ergonomic and practical. The quality of this Japanese-made Spyderco is exceptional and the saber grind is razor sharp out-of-the-box. While the Emerson wave looks comical on a keychain-sized blade, it works perfectly (pro tip: add a short, lanyard or paracord fob to improve the grip on the draw). My knife (which was manufactured in November, 2019) has Sal Glesser's maker's mark on the opposite side of the Sypderco logo; this is a new revision, not shown in the product photo. As Hello Kitty says "small gift, big smile."

Small knife, Huge potential
This is the fastest deploying knife of it's size I've ever seen. Unlike other small pocket knives this is very sturdy, with quality edge resilient steel. It comes shaving razor sharp right out of the box. The entire design is completely ambidextrous, and the pocket clip is easily transferred from one side to the other with the use of a size 8 torx screwdriver. The heavily textured and curved lower portion of the blade allows for an improvised high grip with the thumb and forefinger, for detailed work. This is a great accompaniment to a larger blade, or as an around the office/house multipurpose knife.

Get this knife.
I love this knife. Perfect lightweight pocket knife for self defense. Only problem is the rough texture of the handle makes it harder to slide out of your pocker/waist when using the clip. Tricky for quick draw. I just keep it in my pocket. Well worth the price.

nice, useful knife
pocket self opening feature not as useful as I had hoped. Knife overall is good little knife, blade surprising useful for its size.

Been carrying dragonfly knives for over 25 years
Been carrying the dragonfly for over 25 years. It’s small enough to not even notice you have it in your pocket. Yet big enough to cut any projects you may have. The Emerson opener version makes it easy to open when you are multitasking with your hands.

Fantastic knife.
I love this little knife. The Emerson opener is a bit over the top on a knife this size but it's still an awesome knife. The Emerson wave doesn't detract in anyway and is functional. The vg10 steel sharpens easily and holds an edge fairly well. Of all my knifes, I'm most careful with this one. This has replaced the larger Bench made mini grip (which had the sv super steel). The dragon fly 2 is just a smaller knife That performs as well in large part due to the ergonomics. It has a fantastic grip. Love it!
