Gearing down my Rustler was the best thing I've done for bashing in my large gravel driveway and yard. I now need a wheelie bar on concrete and it has extended the battery life considerably. If I run in the grass too long the motor will still heat up, but for normal running it stays touchable. Although I picked up a new 90T spur gear, I left it paired with the original 86T. NOTE: When adjusting the pinion gear back to the spur gear... Tighten the adjustment screw so it moves with a small amount of force. Seat it against the spur gear, then back it off just a tiny bit. If you don't back it off you'll hear louder gear noises and I can only assume it's wearing harder on the spur gear.

I've had no issues- running on a brushed Traxxas Bandit with 2s battery.

Exactly what I expected for my traxxas stampede. I actually only needed the pin screw but couldn’t find it sold separately so now I have an extra pinion.

I put this pinion on my stampede to help off road performance. It was worth the money. Goes through grass as easy as it rides on pavement. Wheelie bar needed if you put this on your stampede.

Does the job, made out of real steel. Traxxas designs and makes always good products.
