Yes, the pendulum rotates in one direction very slowly. It's a lovely clock, and the pendulum motion is very relaxing.

Well I have had mine for over a year there is nothing much to go wrong with it as long as you have decent batteries I am a bit of if it doesn't work go and buy another one don't really bother with a guarantee.
