Plastic not perfectly smooth even brand new
We have our big extendable ice scrapers for our minivan and SUV. For big cars, you need the long handle.Got this to use in an emergency, as it's compact enough to fit in the door or glove box. For that it works well. It was a little disappointing that out of the box the plastic edge is not smooth. Since it does flex a little, it does work for removing snow.Flip it over to break up ice - nice to have this feature as some days that ice layers that got too thick can be a little stubborn. This works well to break that up.

Small and light
The big plus to this item is the size and weight - I don't have a lot of storage space in my Prius Prime, so this is a bonus for having it on hand. I found it to be a bit too small for efficient removal of the heavy snow that I experienced in Tahoe this winter, but sure better than having nothing - and if space is at a premium this is a decent option - especially at the low price. Comfortable grip.

Light and small ice scraper for storing in car for emergency use
When you are desperate, you’d find this product useful. But the time it takes to use this product would be too long compared to using warm water bring in from the house, I’m guessing I’m not living in an area with harsh enough weather conditions that would get me to find this product useful.

Separate Heavy Ice Edge
First morning we had frost I was searching for a scraper. All we had were chipped and would not scrape clean. So I ordered this guy.Maybe I've not been paying attention because this scraper has something I've not seen in any other scrapers - a separate heavy ice blade. The two blades are about an inch apart on opposite sides of one end the handle. For a given thickness of ice, a wider blade requires more effort to push through than does a narrow blade. I assume this is why one blade is narrower than the other. The narrower blade, which is of sturdier build, I use for heavy buildup frozen to glass, the kind of scraping that takes some muscle. Being narrow it's easy to plow through thicker stuff. The wider blade, I use for fine scraping, such as frozen dew, or cleaning up after the heavy scraping, stuff that takes less effort so that one can cover a wider swath.Looking back at some buildups that took a lot of scraping, I'm guessing this scraper would have worked faster than the scraper I was using at the time.

Average Performance
I was curious about the claim that it works with one pass because that would be a very high standard. We finally got some subzero temps and ice to try it on and while the handle and overall quality is above average, it performs about the same as any other and is going to take some elbow grease. That being said, it is a necessity where I live so it will be put to good use and I may grow to appreciate it more over time.
