Canson Montval 200gsm watercolour practice paper pad including 40 sheets, size:24x32cm, natural white and Cold Pressed (Not)

The quality of this paper is fantastic. My watercolours took really nice to it. The pages are also thicker than I thought they would be which was a nice surprise. They rip out nicely without the rest of the pages ripping out too which has been a problem in the past with my watercolour notepad.I’d actually really recommend this for anyone starting out in watercolours however I also think it is good for anyone with experience because the quality is so high.

I am a novice painter so I want value for money, I found this paper to be great while I am in the learning process. Very forgiving, big enough to be cut into smaller sheets. My painting has come on leaps and bounds using this watercolour paper it is ideal for the learner and the seasoned painter, so impressed am I I'm ordering another 40 sheet pad, brilliant value for money.

Great for practicing but bends and warps under light washes, I bought so that I had a lot of paper to practice on as other pads of similar gsm tend to be more expensive and come in pads of 12 sheets and as a beginner I want to be able to learn and experiment with out worrying about using up expensive paper. I came back and ordered one more as I think this is great for practice but if you are using this for artwork you plan to display you will have to stretch it? (tap it down etc)

Love the way the binding is glued allowing you to pull back the front of the pad fully behind and out of the way! Lovely paper, still best to tape down when doing larger images to help the page stay straight while drying.

Very good for practicing! It absorbs well but there is minimal buckling. Note thourgh that it is a non-standard size so difficult to get frames.

As the name says it is practice paper. It warps really badly and I can't use it for serious painting. But, it can be used for trying out new or different techniques, just not a lovely, finished painting.
