Overall, powerful and attractive, but has a few real flaws.
It's a nicely crafted amp. It definitely gives the impression of power when hooked to my power hungry 8ohm speakers. It sounds fantastic. I've used bt LDAC, spdif, and coaxial with good results. It does get warm, but not overly. Never hot to the touch. I don't hear any significant noise floor. The UI is intuitive, though I'd argue that up/down in the menu is backwards. You even have sub volume control, which many of these amps don't - although you actually do need it here because of a sub volume issue, as seen below. That said, it has a few real glaring issues that should be addressable by firmware, if the company so decides to fix them:1. sub volume is not consistent with speaker volume. They rise and fall unevenly. At low volumes you may have way too much sub, and at high volumes it disappears. This means you have to adjust the sub volume every time you adjust the main volume.2. sub cutoff only goes to 70hz - there's a lot of reason to cross subs down as low as 40 or 50hz.3. main speaker crossover is tied to sub crossover. If you want your sub at 80hz, and your speakers without a crossover, you're out of luck. The speakers will be cut off where the sub is cut off.4. there's only bass/treble despite the capability of having more eq. We need at least a definition of what each EQ setting is - though most sound pretty bad. Not a major issue, since many sources now have powerful PEQ, or at least GEQ.5. It doesn't have a good standby mode. It often just randomly comes on. I simply shut it off with the switch in the back when I'm done.6. you cant set input volume by input. So there can be huge disparities, though this is mostly a nice to have.
