Simple and effective anti plucking aid
The collar has been on for a month and a half and has been very effective. The parrot has learned his way around it and pretty much has the full range of mobility. He will as able to pluck out about half the rubber on the inner ring of the collar; however, this in no way interferes with functionality. The first and only thing so far that worked for our parrot.

Terrorized my Bird
I tried this on my Goffin's Cockatoo. I have never heard her scream like she did when she realized this was on her neck. I think because it was clear she didn't notice right away so it surprised her. Within a few minutes of her trying to remove it she had scraped up and bruised her wings (she's a plucker so the edges were exposed), she had two toes trapped between her neck and the collar (stumbling caused the bruising), and there was blood on her feathers. She had also bitten off one of the snap closures. I took it off pretty quickly but she was upset for a few days, needing much more affection and attention than normal. Please be careful if you're trying this with your bird.
