Ok boys, cutter is sharp,will work great for 1/2 pex that i used it for, will cut larger like 3/4 anything larger buy bigger cutter. Would buy again but its made well and don't need to.Cost is right also

It will work and do the job. I still use mine but upgraded to the ryobi 18v crimp tool b/c this one is a bit tough to use in tight spaces and need 2 hands.

My first-time crimps of two 3/8" Pex and 1/2" Pex fittings were all successful, with no leaks. It was necessary to calibrate the tool immediately using the go-no-go guage, but after grinding a notch in the guage metal to use as a notched screwdriver, calibration succeeded.I was surprised that the crimping tool must be wide open to engage over a new clamp, with the tool arm handles being over a foot apart. I was even more surprised how much force was needed to squeeze the tool arms together until the ratchet mechanism engaged. My wife would be hard-pressed to squeeze the arms to this point, as was I. The greatest care is needed during this initial crimp action to keep the clamp positioned 1/8" to 1/4" from the fitting shoulder, as-designed. But I see no better tools available at a reasonable price that simplify this initial crimp action - as with a more extensive ratcheting, compound leverage tool. I've decided that's just how it is.

Storage case is nice. A bit difficult for me to grip and squeeze the crimping tool, but once going and racheting assists engages ... all good. Pipe cutter is good and sharp.
