Of the several Acme thunderers I own, this one is the most shrill, strident, and certain to make people snap to attention.

Just bought this for my college daughter to keep on her key ring. She also has a can of mace but I figured this would garner attention from anyone nearby. Good for those later night walks from the library or a party! The sound is very shrill and LOUD.

I bought this because the pea in my father's WWII London Bobbie whistle was getting pretty beaten up. After all this time one wouldn't think any improvements could be made to a plain old whistle, but it turns out that's not true.It sounds better than the old style never did and the quality is as good as one from the Golden Age of Stuff!

It is very loud, but you have to blow not too soft, not too hard, but just right.
