Works as expected
I use my Speedy Stitcher for sewing canvas and leather. I needed a replacement. This needle came in good time and works fine.

This item is a farce...
What kind of moron labeled this item as "Speedy Stitcher #8 Large Needle"?!! It doesn't fit into my Speedy Stitcher! the part that slides up into the chuck of the stitcher is not the right diameter, it's lacking. So seeing that i just purchased another hand sewing stitcher, i thought maybe i could use it with that one, but it couldn't if it even did fit into the chuck cause how the needle is made with its thread groove placement. The one i purchased is the Tandy one and the needle's groove has to go all the way too the top of the needle for it to work with that one. But the speedy stitcher's version doesn't have to go all the way up that far cause of how the chuck is made. But seeing that those chucks don't actually tighten up like a drill's chuck behave's it can't work with my Speedy stitcher seeing how the part that should pinch up doesn't cause of how it was manufactured to only hold the needles it came with when first purchased. I'm starting to think i'll have to just purchase another speedy stitcher to have it work and use the needle's on my old one and use the new one for parts. Or something. Cause all these fake parts coming from whomever or where ever they are coming from are all starting to be more of a headache then it's actually worth.

Exactly what I expected.
I broke the #8 needle on my 30+ year old stitcher and this replacement fit perfectly. I ordered a spare just in case 30 more years I break this one.
