Screams like a banshee; installation issues
Installing on my fiberglass truck cap was an adventure -- the nuts that are meant to be "finger tight" on the inside are equipped with these big plastic wingnut things. Getting them finger tight is NOT possible because the nuts have nylock insert and will not turn without mechanical leverage unless you have hands like The Hulk maybe, so you end up using pliers or a giant adjustable wrench just to get the things flush up against the roof of the cap. And then the plastic wingnut washer, of course, strips out and then you can't really snug up the thing, and are left to your own devices with a socket wrench and some good old fashioned steel washers, after having to remove the now-useless plastic washer with a mini hacksaw or sawzall and a ton of cursing. And no I did not over-tighten, just had 2 out of 10 of the plastic wingnuts strip out as I was turning them to try and get snug. Now installed, and since they are back on the truck cap I don't hear it unless I am going under a bridge, but over 50MPH they make a high-pitched whistling at about 10K Hertz that I am sure is a great annoyance to anyone I am passing by, especially dogs. Hopefully it will help alert deer and moose to my approach and get them to clear off the road miles ahead of me.And adjusting these for front/back spacing is a giant pain, you basically have to entirely remove them from the tracks and re-position the bases, and the provided anti-theft hex bolts have a little pin in the center so you can't use them with a regular hex key, and the tiny fsking key they include BARELY FITS into the bolt's head, once again resisting your attempts to get the bolts good and snug, and risking stripping out the bolt head. Then, the locking pins in the mounts are stubborn and don't want to snap in unless things are perfectly aligned. Again, if your kids are nearby while you do this, they will learn all your best curse words.Other than that, they look pretty cool and do a good job holding my kayaks and surfboards and stuff without any issues.

Great rack but wrong parts.
The rack itself is fine and does everything I need. However, the kit I received came with incorrect parts. The kit comes with 4 rubber end caps that go on the ends of the tracks, but all 4 that I received were for the left side so I'm stuck with 2 that I can't install. Also, one of the screws used to bolt the crossbar brackets down to the tracks was too long and would protrude out making installation of the crossbars difficult. None of the missing/incorrect parts prevented me from installing and using the rack and are more an annoyance than anything, but the kit really should come with the correct parts.I needed this rack for a trip I was taking and couldn't take the time to go through the return process and now I'm stuck trying to find replacement parts. The rack itself is excellent, but since it was missing hardware I have to give this only 2 stars.

I wish I would have seen it in person before buying.
Plastic feet, only one screw attaches the foot to the bar, and the lock offers very little security. There is only one screw attaching the bar to the foot, and it can be accessed at any time, locked or unlocked. Two small plastic pins are all that secure the foot to the track, and they wobble around when finished. Three sets of instructions were sent all different. They all basically covered the installation of the rack all had different measurements, one set would be missing one step another set would be missig a different step. The rack looks ok but I am nervous about putting anything that might offer any wind resistance on top. It isn't nearly as secure or sturdy as the other brands I've used. Should have stuck with one of the others.

Extremely pleased with this rack!
A little time consuming for a novice perfectionist to install, but well worth it! Everything that was supposed to be in the packages was, and the fit and function of every mating component was spot-on! Seems exceptionally sturdy and (In my opinion) a really nice looking rack. I have had it on the freeway at 65 mph and don't hear any wind noise at all. Needless to say I am extremely happy with this purchase!

Horrendous whistling.
I like the racks and the hardware. Everything is functional and well built. The whistling is going to make me nuts!! Unacceptable noise. Cars 300' behind me hear it. It freaks deer out to cause them to run. Sometimes out onto the road. I'm sure there is a solution with a faring but at my expense? I have reached out to the manufacturer for suggestions. I'm sure a faring is cheaper then my insurance deductible or my sanity.
