TL;DR - Plug & Play with ease. Just make sure you know how to connect to your gear and enable if necessary as some equipment may need a new configuration to turn on that end.This product worked perfectly. I wanted to connect my 24 Port Unifi PoE switch to my Unifi Security Gateway Pro 4 via Fiber to free up a 1 gb ethernet port on the switch. Reading online I was able to use a 3rd party item but all info said that those items are singular in packaging and this product was duplicate. It was more cost effective to purchase both of these than to buy 2 single units. Package arrived and I popped it open and removed the rubber stoppers from them. I then removed the rubber stoppers from the Switch & Gateway ports and plugged them in. Attached the fiber cable and nothing changed. I began to scratch my head as it seemed it should be plug and play but I needed some more details.I then opened up my Unifi network and was able to see the switch registered the connection but the gateway did not. After some digging around I discovered that the gateway needed the connection to be enabled by disabling the ethernet port. I crossed some fingers and made the switch and committed the change, POOF my network was now connected via Fiber to the USG Pro4 and all was working as expected. Now I have full access to my 24 ports on my switch and my gateway has a free ethernet port that can be repurposted some another network if I decide to make that change.I can recommend this product for anyone that wants to use 1 gb fiber connections and these devices are compatible. Should work on all Unifi gear, potentially other gear as well.

Got these for my two UniFi 8 150W switches and they work just fine. Much cheaper solution than others that I found. I also used 1 in a Zyxel switch at one point and it worked fine as well. I would say these were a great buy for the price.

I use this with a F-POE and my Unifi 160W Switch. Works perfect in my unifi switches. not much to say.. plug and play, well worth the addition to the switch.

I’m very happy with these transceivers. I used them for my fiber run to my garage and I’m getting strong signals and 0 packet loss. I used these with a 30 m LC to LC cable.

1G MM is all you need if most of Ubiquiti's EdgeRouter and EdgeSwitch products. Do not over spend. Consider the copper interconnect also, but do know that if a surge ever hits your switch it will also take down your router.
