This canteen is not aluminumIt’s plastic and there is a note on the package that it contains chemicals known to cause cancer and birth defects.

False advertising
The bottle is plastic, not metal as advertised. If it were metal we would have kept it but returning it because of this. Otherwise, the metal cup and case are nice.
