iFlow P9 EV Charger Level 2, 10 to 40 Amp, 110-240V Universal EVSE, Versatile for Portable & Wall Charger (NEMA 14-50, 25 Feet Cable)

This unit is extremely well built for the money!I have a new Kia EV6 that is my first EV, and I had a Nema 14-50P outlet installed on my house to charge it, however I needed a charger that could make use of the full 40A current. This little guy does it, no problem! However, I shouldn't say little, this thing is built like a brick house! The control box is made very well, seems to have either silicone or neoprene bushings where the cable enters to seal out water, the case is made of a glass-fibre reinforced ABS plastic, which is very durable in all weather.I have left this out in torrential rain and cold, icy conditions. It has never faultered in either condition, I am very impressed with it so far.Now for the meat and potatoes; the charging experience.The wifi function is great, you do have to have it unplugged to change any setting with it, but that's no issue really, as all of the multi-mode chargers have to be unplugged to change settings. It is nice because it has a built in KWH meter, that measures the useage until reset, so you have a total amount for when the electricity bill comes due. This is a very useful feature, if the vehicle does not have it built in, itself.The charging handle is HEAVY, mainly due to the immense cable weight. The cable never gets even remotely warm at full load, it is UL listed as well. The handle has a metal release catch, this is great because with the cheaper plastic ones, it can be bent and pulled out from your car if some a-hole decides they want to charge when you are! It also helps to prevent theft of the charger as well, as they'd have to cause some serious damage to the cable and the vehicle to remove it when it's plugged in and locked in. The EVSE also has a function wherein you must login to the WiFi to turn on the charger, I have this enabled and it works great. Overall the cable, box, and charging experience are top-notch.In the end, I feel this charger is very good for the money, I got the $100 off coupon so it was only $370~ shipped to me, which is a steal for this quality of product. The normal $450 price tag is absolutely acceptable for what you get, this definitely sets a new standard at the price-point. Very happy with this purchase.***UPDATE*** 2 Months of outdoor storage (I do not have a garage) in below freezing, terrible thunderstorms, heatwaves with a head index well above 100, this thing takes it all. Never has water entered the plug, and the cover that comes with the charging handle to cover it from the weather is absolutely weatherproof. The cover has multiple grooves in it's sealing surface to ensure a watertight seal, which is well designed, as this is a well known design strategy when making something waterproof. The seal that also seals the gun to the port on the vehicle also utilizes this, wherein my cheaper chargers use a soft O-ring in an indent in the charge port. This works, but will wear out. The design on this will last much longer and provide a better seal. The seal also definitely isn't rubber, feels like neoprene or very high quality silicone.I would buy another one of these in a heartbeat, I highly recommend this as an all-weather portable or mountable EVSE that isn't huge, but still way overbuilt for it's purpose.I would also like to see this put into a 48A wall mount hardwired version from this company, maintaining the quality. If one of those comes out or there is a beta version, I'd be up for testing it.Overall, I'd give this 6 stars if I could, there's not much better quality out there currently. I will update the reviews if there are any issues, but so far, smooth sailing.***UPDATE 2***Figured I'd give a 7 month update. The weather has turned very cold where I am, we're talking nights in the teens and twenties. The cable remains pliable, not as much as in the summer, but the exact same pliability that you'd get with any public station. All features still working a treat, the cable and charging handle show nearly no signs of wear after months of use, still tight fitting in the vehicle. This is definitely solid for the price.

The product worked flawlessly for a month. It stopped working one day, but the Amproad team was quick to address my needs. After discussing on the phone and via text with the customer support rep, sharing videos, and answering their questions on how to reset and restart, they sent me a new charger (rush job/express) so that I could charge my car. Within 2 days I was back in business, charging my 75 mile range Nissan leaf quickly (in about 3 hours). They were prompt to reply and super professional (you can even say nice). They sent a prepaid box for shipping for the old charger and I asked them to notify of what was wrong. And they did. Additionally, they even offered me an extra one year warranty on the new one. As for the charger, I have no complaints. The cable is thick and has some meat on it, which is something you want. I believe my cable is 25 feet long (possibly the longest available). Once my electricians put in the 240 volt service to the garage (front part of garage, by doors) the installation and setup of the unit was easy (even for a guy that can’t do anything with his hands). Placing it there gave me great flexibility into the driveway and to both spots in the garage. I the price was right and I’ve been extremely happy. I know that if I have an issue, I can text my support guy, but I think we are good now. Great price, great product, and super support.

Bought by first EV, Mustang Mach-e 2022 after ordering the car online. 6 months wait and Ford delivered as promised, no dealer markup.Needed a better charger than the one the came with the car, 32 amps. I did Amazon search and read the reviews, bought this one since it was rated 5 stars, Canadian made. Arrived over the weekend, plugged it in and was able to charge at 40A right away.Has very thick and heavy cables, able to lock the charger handle since I have my car charging on the driveway.The price is half the price of the similar charger offered by Ford and I was able to get the $100 off coupon which brought my purchase price to $350.Have to learn home charging, DV fast charging very quickly. Now I have to wait and see how long this charger will last.9/15/22 I wanted another charger for my son’s garage which is already installed with 240v Nema 14-50 plug. I decided to have a more portable light weight charger and ended buying a Morec 40 amp level 2 charger, I had to return right away since it will stop charging my Mach-e -within 15 mins and showed charging error consistently.After returning I did ended up buying Autel 40 amps level-2 charger which has a heavy box and mounted plug down. I was not able to get 9.6 kw charging, instead charges at 9.3 kw this needed slightly longer time. It does have an app that works well, and a 3 year warranty which is a plus. Autel does not have the locking on charge handle to protectCompared to these two other chargers, Amproad iflow9 has very thick and heavy cable, 2 8 awg, 1 10 awg and 1 16 awg copper lines. I am buying another Amproad iflow9 today.

This may be weird praise, but this EV charger has by far the nicest J1772 connector I've ever seen. It really feels like a premium product, and it clicks so nicely. It also has the best rubber cover- individual holes for the individual pins, and snaps on SUPER snugly.The charger itself is fine. Good adjustable features, the delay doesn't seem to work. The "wifi" and "app" are completely useless, don't even bother.The biggest downside is that this charger really isn't very portable. The entire thing weighs like 25lbs and has by the stiffest cable I have ever seen in a charger- and it's 85-90F where I live right now. I don't even want to imagine this thing in winter.Unfortunately, the size/weight is a dealbreaker for it. It is meant to be a portable charger I can use for my townhouse and when traveling to my parents or in-laws, but it's so heavy and stiff its a major faff to use it.

This is an excellent product and everything works as advertised. I am very impressed at the build quality and the thickness of the cable. The LCD screen shows a lot of useful information. The main reason I purchased this unit was to have the option to change the amp output. I have it connected to a 30 amp circuit and my old charger could only do 16 amps. When I first plugged it in I tapped the button and cycled through the amp settings to 24 amps. Now every time I plug in my car it is already saved to 24 amps, This is exactly what I wanted.

When i started shopping for and EV, I realized I'd need a garage charger. Luckily we had a 240V plug in our garage, but it had a Nema 6-30 oulet on a 30 amp wire. This Amproad Charger is great because it allows you to adjust the Amperage that you are pulling from your outlet. I set it at 24 amps. I also had to buy an adaptor because the plug on the charger is a is a Nema14-50. I found the adaptor on Amazon for about $50.00. When i put it all together and plugged it in it works great! It hasn't over-burdened our power box which only has a 100 Amp load as most houses in Canada do. I plug it in at night and when I get up in the morning I have about 420 miles of range. Also I haven't had to plug it in that often. For city driving that range lasts me about a week, but I'm retired and live in a small city. It depends on how much you drive each day. I've had the charger about a month now and it works great! Also when I first got it I had some trouble using the wifi so I phoned the 1-800 number in the instructions and they were very helpful. A great product!

Great for the price. Well built and nice to have a display with all the info on it. Nice to be able to modify the current draw as my breaker is 40amp so I can use 32amp or lower settings depending how fast I need an charge. Would not set it at 40amp because that is my breaker max.

this charger is of low quality and has not worked for more than 90 daysI bought it in October, three months later it completely stopped working, the supplier sent me a new one, which two months later also stopped working, Amazon and the supplier refused to reimburse me! so it will end up in the trash. I no longer trust this product, so if you want to do one then go to Amazon and are they the supplier? Quick easy install. Seems good quality for the money. Easy to read display. Working great on my Bolt so far. Not CSA approved which I wanted but fingers crossed. No rebate in my area.
