Boker magnum performs again...and we're just getting started
First and foremost, goto bladehq to get this a little bit cheaper....i didn't know it was available cheaper outside of amazon until i already ordered....needless to say amazon return policy is not perfect yet so i just kept it, but it would be nice if they matched prices...anyway...I got this as a primary blade to keep on my tactical ronin vest which is intended to be my gear for any outdoorsy fun time lasting more than a couple hours. The sheath is the main reason why i figured it was worth the money(and it is good quality), but i am pretty impressed with how strong this blade design is having such a pointy tip.So far I've used this blade to do a little bit of whittling away at some home made staves, which it's not bad for, but the edge needs to be a bit sharper before it would become favorably efficient at such a task...but don't get me wrong, tis sharp enough out of the box to do what it's deigned to do....cut stuff...speaking of which...I have used this as a potato cutter and it works well with fruit such as strawberries...it's really a perfect campsite cutlery blade for me...It is taking some getting used to as far as feeling comfortable in my hand while doing precision stuff like cutting the eyes out of potatoes, but I'm really learning to like the overpowering design which requires just a bit of knife handling practice before it would be completely safe when used by the right hands. The hand grip is not soft, but rigid and very much graspable but can be painful when you really dig into something such as a piece of wood...wearing some mechanix gloves could be a good remedy for this...but as far as losing your grip, it just ain't gonna happen with this thing due to the nice finger loop and knuck like handle...much more comfortabke than a steel set of knucks to hold actually...easy to keep a solid grip without any muscle at all.Overall, i wouldn't recommend this to somebody who is not going to completely respect the blade, as it's design is known for being very combat efficient and deadly...But as long as you are not completely stupid, this is a schwinger baby....my 2nd boker blade, and i plan on getting more.Btw, its not a good knife to throw...boker offers throwing knifes for that if anyone's wondering, and they're worth it too...i may keep this updated with how well it's held up over time, i will say that i plan on using it for food so we will see how well it maintains from simply keeping it clean with no oil for a while

Reliable self-defense tool
I like pretty much everything about this knife, except that I have to wear it. I wear this on my belt whenever I am riding my bike, which is for transportation, not as a hobby. I will no longer ride a bike without carrying a weapon to defend from dogs. There are many universal truths, one being that all dogs, whether vicious or sweet, lose their sanity when a human rides by on an odd, manually powered, wheel-based device. I've not had to use it, but it helps me relax when I'm riding. This knife is very well made with a full-tang blade, durable composite handle with a moderate texture and natural feel and a kydex sheath with different holes allowing it to be worn in a variety of fashions. It comes with a belt clip that I didn't find useful, but rather just rigged up my own belt loops by running some para cord through the holes in the sheath. This is a severely aggressive design for a knife and isn't really used as a tool at all, it's essentially for fighting or self-defense only, by it's design. There's no issue with legality where I live, but be sure to check the laws in your locality so you don't have any surprises. This is the only karambit I've ever owned but I can't stress enough how happy I am with the quality. I imagine that there are many cheap models around and this is certainly not in that category.

Well what can be said it’s not an Emerson but it’s not a Hosanna either
I have a large collection of Karambit fixed blade knives, my EDC is an Emerson. I have Karambits that I have spent $11.00 on just to add to my collection and have some very high end knives that were in the $550.00 range. I use my knives I practice with them, I use them on the dummy, i put them through their paces, pry stones with them dig holes cut limbs shave bark etc. Now Karambits were not designed for any of those things they are a CQC self defense knife and that is their primary purpose. I am hard on them because I want to know if they will hold an edge how easy they are to sharpen etc. so enough with the general Karambit lesson let’s talk about this knife.Boker has really gone downhill in the last two decades, the magnum series seems to be the only place they have really kept up any type of quality control. The Bomer Magnum Karambit fits nicely in the hand. It indexes very well even as well as some of the high end knives I own. The design is near perfect not to curved and not to straight. It is extremely light and is a very fast knife. It can take a beating and does hold an edge rather well. I’ve read several reviews talking about how dull it is out of the box. It does actually appear that way but that’s because it’s sharpened at a different angle. I thought wow this is dull then shave a huge area of hair off of my arm holding it slightly higher than 45 degrees. The finger ring is well placed and large enough for guys with average to big hands. It has a “glass breaker” on the end of the ring and it is made well I believe it will work for that. The sheath is Kydex and made very well. I did not have to heat mine for a better fit. It holds the knife in place well and has no slop. The belt accessory is very well thought out there is pretty much no way you can’t position your knife. All in all this was a fantastic purchase. Very affordable and the blade holds its own up against some higher end knives. This is a great entry level Karambit and in my humble opinion you will not be disappointed in it.Pros; feels good in the hand, light and fast, indexes well, hold an edge, good sheathCons; it takes some practice to sharpen it correctly because of the grind.

As Borat would say, VERY NICE!
Great buy. Very solid, and good size/shape, and comes sharp with a sharp tip. Good feel to the handle whichever way you prefer to hold it.Matches up nicely with the Cold Steel trainer, for those looking for a good trainer to go along with this.Absolutely recommend.
