Q: Will these work with the picasso tiles?

They are magnetic, so there is some interaction between the different toys, but the magnets are pretty weak. I could not even build half the stuff they show as it would fall apart under its own weight. They are still fun and lots of stuff to build.

Q: Can this be used in 1st grade for an independent stem activity?

Yes absolutely. They are easy to put together and pull apart for little hands. My grandchildren are 4 and 6 and they love them.

Q: How many magnets are in one cube?

8 I believe. There are magnets in each corner of the cube.

Q: Should all the cubes be different? We can’t make a complete animal because we have multiples of the same pieces.

Each cube is different. Each cube face is one piece of each animal.
