Such a cute little set. No stickers to apply, all labels are printed on, which is nice. The popcorn cups have a hole in the back, where the critter can hold the cup. Very well made.

I loved it, but my kid cried, probably because I bought it for my own nostalgia.I keep hoping that she will love Calico Critters like I did but sadly she would rather have another stinky baby doll.That's ok, it was cute enough that even if your kid would rather play with something else you can enjoy the fine craftsmanship.I learned a lesson about giving better gifts and thinking about what the receiver would really like, and she learned a lesson about dealing with gift disappointment.Honestly this ice cream truck was a lesson for the whole family. Invaluable.If you want to come play with calico critters you can hit me up because it is clear my daughter is not.

How to make a little girl use tactile toys, design a living or play area, increase her vocabulary, enjoy time together and with friends! These toys are the perfect way to achieve these goals and more. She started with a little set when her twin sisters arrived when she was 3 and she lost undivided attention from the adults in her life. She then discovered there was a world of these critters. She started asking for them for birthdays and Christmas and saving her “chore money” for them. When Covid arrived she enjoyed her critter friends! At 9 she has a separate shelving unit to organize the critter families. What other toys take up space, last for 6 years and create such an awesome imaginary playtime for a child? She now shares with the sisters and friends who come!
