Q: what year was this model released? does it come with all the cables that it would if you were buying from an apple store?

This model was first available in September 2019. mine was manufactured in 2020, purchased new, put into service pf July 2020, has died already. However, the IPS image is so crystal clear and sharp that I'm getting a refurb unit due to Amazon's return, repair, and renewal programs FAR EXCEED LG's awful customer & repair service. Regarding the cables it took. It took me a minute to adjust to this, but now I love the setup. It comes with 1 power cord and 1 Thunderbolt 40Gpbs cable. It is very sleek because it powers MacBook Pro and other models of laptops, provides fast100w charging and has 3 regular USB - C ports next to the thunderbolt port. And yes, same as the Apple store. Apple co-developed this monitor with LG while taking their 6-year vacation from making and selling their displays. The new Apple Studio displays are the same as this one but have the refined aesthetics we have grown accustomed to from Apple. With that said, Amazon would be keen to tell customers the year the renewed unit you plan to purchase was manufactured and perhaps even a bit of its history BEFORE ordering. Akin to buying a good used car from a reputable dealership, you might even know where it came from, its owner/s, etc.

Q: Are the items which are included when new (thunderbolt 3 cable (2 m), usb-c cable (1.5 m), power cord, easy setup guide, vesa cover) included?

My refurb unit cam with the Thunderbolt 3 cable, power cord, and wall mount plate. No other cables.

Q: Can the stand be removed?

Yes the screen can be removed from the stand

Q: I received this monitor today. Unfortunately the wrong cable was included - thunderbolt 2, not thunderbolt 3. Can someone help me?

That is very strange.. as this is a thunderbolt 3 display. I would reach out to the seller or ask Amazon for a replacement.
