Impressed!!
This is a great little router, soft start, ease of use, great design and easy to hold and operate, good value for money and very versatile.

1/4” hand router.
1/4” hand router. It may be cheap, but is great value for money. I had used battery versions loaned to me and thought the cable would get in the way, but no! Pleased I have bought it and works as well as other branded versions. I liked the fact it came with a few various bits and a spare set of brushes

Excellent bit of kit - just make sure its unplugged when changing the cutter
It seems a well made, robust router. It comes with some router bits included - I see others have questioned their quality but I've had no problem with them so far - admittedly not a great deal of use. Quality router bits are easily available elsewhere, anyway, so these perhaps should be seen as simply a bonus item.I particularly like the metal sliding 'shroud', which incorporates a 'micro adjustment' wheel for accuracy of cut depth. Do check that the locking mechanism (an 'over centre' type lever) is sufficiently tight before cutting. It has a variable speed selector, and is supposedly 'soft start', but it runs up to full speed very quickly (probably around a second). The starting torque, though, is easily held so long as you are expecting it.On a safety note, there is no physical guard/shield on the start switch (although there is a moulded projection to REDUCE the chance of accidental start); it is therefore VITAL that you unplug the beast while changing/adjusting the router bit. It would be VERY EASY to accidentally start it while installing/changing the cutter bit (the consequences of that would be very messy and painful) and as the stop/start switch is a simple on/off rocker it might then be problem switching it off again before it started routing into your leg/arm...urghhhhh...It comes in very basic, almost plain packaging - I really like that, as you are not paying for expensively printed cardboard.it is clearly a Chinese 'copy' of a much more expensive 'blue' brand, and you have to smile at the name chosen "It's De winner!". Who says the Chinese have no sense of humour! For a DIY/hobby user, this is a really good piece of kit - it even comes with spare carbon brushes so it seems that the manufacturers expect a long life for the tool.Other brands are available - I don't know what they are like - but on my experience of this tool I'd certainly recommend it, certainly for a hobbyist/DIYerUpdate Apr 25 - Where I mentioned "Make sure it's unplugged before changing the cutter" - Well, I'm really glad I followed my advice today. Switched off, unplugged, cutter changed/adjusted. Plug back in...... "Wheeeeeeee....." - I clearly accidentally knocked the start switch to 'on' in handling the machine. No harm done, but a close shave (sorry, couldn't resist 😀.These things really should have a power relay fitted so that they cannot be switched 'on' without mains power ....but that would bump up the price.Still a great piece of kit, though - just treat it as 'always live' and take appropriate safety measures.

Very good
Very good and well built, i did have to adjust the cam lock a little tighter to stop the depth from slipping, and a touch of oil on the rubbing part of the cam really helps the movement and feel when locking, made a jig for its first job to do some half lap joints, perfect, very pleased.

Performs well
This is my first router so cant compare it to anything. Did the job well, easy to adjust and swap out the different blades and mounts. Looking forward to using it more in the future.
