Attractive, wall switch controlled, great
So many fans these days are remote controlled. This is *not*. And it is great. I wanted an attractive fan that can be controlled with a wall switch, at a fair price. This is it. Effectively moves air at a whisper and looks very elegant

Great Fan and multi speed switch design
This is a very high quality room fan for a great price. Highly recommended. This one replaced an original (real) Casablanka model I ran every day for 30+ yrs. The new fan produces the same airflow on slower speeds. The included speed controller is excellent. the fan is quiet and the build is quality. I plan on upgrading several more fand. Thanks. !

Clean and quiet
Really sharp looking fan. Fits proportional to our 12'x11' bedroom. Came perfectly balanced, even after painting the blades to match the accent color in our room. Completely noiseless on the lower speed settings; at the highest setting, the only thing heard is the strong air movement.The wall switch is a little weird that the highest setting is "1" and you have to move through that setting to get to the next lower speed. Just a bit counterintuitive. That being said, the switch functions well, as intended by the manufacturer.The blades are made of some sort of polymer and were easy to scuff up to paint. I used a flat paint intended for furniture and doors, then sprayed over with a clear satin lacquer (from a spray can, nothing fancy).The rest of the fan is made of metal, no cheap plastic to be found.I did end up cutting the down-rod by about 2" to get it a little closer to the ceiling. Worked out great, but I would not recommend doing it yourself unless you have a drill press or some way to jig it to ensure the new pin hole is centered.

Do Not order the remote listed for this fan -this fan does NOT have a receiver for remote.
the fan is very quiet and if it wasn't for the remote issue installation would have been no problem. I ordered the RCS 213 remote because i did not want a wall switch. After install of the fan ( which was fairly easy) all of the trouble shooting and attempts to get the remote working installation was a pain. we had to contact product support at Minka so they could tell us that this fan has no receiver for remote.

Don't buy this fan!!
This Fan has been installed for 3 months and is already bad. Turn the switch on and it trips the breaker in my main panel. Just to make sure it's not the breaker I pulled the fan wires and turned the breaker back on. No issue. 3 months and worthless. Would not recommend.
