Great Mandolin Pick! Acrylux Nitra Mandolin 1.5 mm 2AN7-03
As intermediate mandolin player, I have tried many picks to find out what works and what doesnt. I have sampled everything I could get my hands on and they are all ok but the Acrylux Nitra 1.5 mm grey coloured pick is my favorite. I think hand size and finger thickness are important to mention here since my hands are construction worker size and the pick fits my thumb and forefinger perfectly. Its about 2mm bigger on the perimeter than a golden gate, or blue chip mando pick, which in my case makes a difference , and in my opinion an important consideration that never gets discussed anywhere. If you have small hands you have to find out what works for you. Too bad you cant find somewhere that sells a sample pack of every mando pick available and just get this process over with. The acrylux nitra mandolin pick 2AN7-03 1.5mm, is a great pick, and its smooth, quiet, easy to hold and in my opinion equal to or better than anything I have in my pick collection. Its tone is great, and produces clean harmonic tones ( very important to my ears, anyway) and slightly different tone than the red coloured Acrylux Reso 1.5 Mandolin pick which is my #2 choice. All picks influence the tone, your hand is part of the equation also so its got to be comfortable and only you will know what works. I have Wegen , Golden Gate, Blue chip mandolin picks and my honest personal favourite is the grey coloured Acrylux Nitra 1.5 mandolin pick!

Improve the tone of your Mandolin
Great picks for mandolin playing. The shape is perfect, with a slightly rounded point which can create a great tone when playing. Good for tremolo playing too. Recommended.
