Fact & Fun in Surgery: A Companion To Surgical Study Paperback – 16 April 2021

This book was a very interesting read. It is in the form of a collection of facts, jokes, trivia , mnemonics and surgical wisdom that the author has obviously collected over a lifetime. I enjoyed reading it and find myself dipping in and out often. You can open any page and start reading very immersive titbits. I would recommend this for any surgeon. The author is an accomplished surgeon, administrator and a delightful man to know. My suggestion for improvement would be to remove the pages and pages of acronyms which, in the age of the internet , have little use in a book.

An excellent collection of information and surgical facts brought together in a easy to read understand and remember. A must have book for all medical students, qualified surgeons and teachers of surgery. Remember all the funny bits are at bottom of the page. They are the welcome break from learning the facts. I wish I had this book twenty years ago. Dr. C.S. RAJAN is a very able author with wealth of knowledge. This book hopefully is the beginning of future volumes.

A nice collection of a lifetime worth of surgical trivia and facts for easy reading for surgeons; it eludes to surgical facts,definitions, classifications in a easy manner with an unconventional indexing system that makes reading interesting and enjoyable. This reminds me of another book, Schein's common sense emergency abdominal surgery. A good companion for the surgeons bookshelf for leisurely reading and referencing.
