Rubin Artisan Hungarian Oak Smoked Paprika Powder 100% pure from Szeged / Hungary – 3,52 oz

I've always used Papa's Hungarian Paprika when making Goulash etc. and would only use that brand - until it wasn't available - and then I panicked! That is, until I found this glorious product! It's hard to find good quality sweet smoked Paprika but when I got this sacred sachet and opened it up, I was entranced with the magical scent, which is rich, deep and mysterious!I made my Goulash with this paprika and was not disappointed - due to the depth of flavor and complex (yet sometimes subtle) aroma. While I will still use Papa's if I run out of this glorious jewel of a spice, Rubin's is now my number one!

I have ordered all the smoked paprika products and this one by far is the best. It does not matter what food I prepare that I add this to that everyone doesn’t rave over and wonder what my secret ingredient is! I love this paprika and just wish it came in a larger size….or even better went on sale every once in awhile. The price is a bit high, but I suppose it’s because it’s so good!! How about coupons!!! LolEXCELLENT PRODUCT!!!

If you are looking for a smoked paprika to add to your goulash, this is absolutely a good one! Bold, deep taste.

Nice smoky flavor

I made chicken paprikash for something different a few weeks ago and the author went on and on about the difference between store bought vs imported paprika. I used store bought because it was all I had but ordered both sweet paprika and this smoked paprika. Oh holy crap, where have you been all my life? How am I almost 56 years old and just discovering imported smoked paprika?!?!?! I'd buy this by the pound if I could, it'll be added to a ton of dishes going forward. Bright red color, the aroma is very strong and it tastes delightful. I ordered some to send to my son as well. huge fan!!

Good stuff for cooking

I love smoked paprika, but what was available to me locally was a huge disappointment, flavor wise. So off I go to shop on Amazon, & I came across the genuine Rubin Artisan, Hungarian Oak Smoked Paprika Powder. This is excellent smoked paprika, & this time around I bought 2 bags! The smoked flavor is prominent but not overbearing, & it's excellent as a stand alone dry rub for meats & poultry, added to a dry rub mix of herbs & spices, & used in a brine. It is also excellent on home fries, scrambled eggs, & in goulash. You will not be disappointed!

Even hot paprika isn’t very spicy, and for the smoke flavor I prefer the sweet variation. This one did not disappoint. Excellent flavor and strong color.The bag isn’t resealable and you need a tight vacuum container to preserve the flavor. Beyond that, I can’t think of any complaints.
