and I'm very pleased. I've ridden to work on a cool
I've got a few hundred miles in this jacket now, and I'm very pleased. I've ridden to work on a cool, almost cold desert morning and come home that hotter afternoon, and been very comfortable both times. That's with short sleeve polo shirt and the liner for the morning ride, and the liner removed and vents open for the afternoon ride. We're probably talking a 30 degree temperature swing from morning to afternoon here. The jacket looks really good, and is well made. The padding/armor feels solid and very protective. The visibility is very good, in terms of helping other road users see you. Nice number and placement of pockets, and good fit. I followed the advice in these comments and got the right fit the first time. If I could improve one thing about it, it would be the venting. It's among the best I've had in solid (non-mesh) jackets, but I can't help but feel like the arm vents would be a bit more effective if they were rotated a bit further out on the arm rather than facing in quite so much. All in all, I'm very pleased; given what this jacket cost, maybe I should be giving it five stars! Very good value for the money.

Awesome jacket with all the basic features
Great jacket for the money, you really cannot go wrong. Tons of pockets, great protection from wind, water, and possible crashes. I bought my jacket in red to match my bike and gloves; people tell me it looks great!I am 6" tall / 175lbs (182cm / 80kg) [athletic build] and I ordered a size Medium (jacket 40) and it fits absolutely perfectly with the warmth liner inside.Take out the cold-weather liner and it is much more spacious. I can wear a regular sweatshirt underneath with plenty of room to spare. The vents are awesome for keeping cool on the warmer days, or just enjoying the morning breeze on the way to work. I could not be happier. The reflective strips all over the jacket are great as well. I feel very protected and safe wearing it.Somehow I managed to find this for only $100 from a seller who had it on clearance or something. I would have paid $160 but I got this for a steal of a price. That does not affect my thoughts about the overall quality whatsoever, but it did make me that much happier with the purchase. If you can find this for around $160 or less, definitely consider it for an excellent entry level jacket.

3.0 is even better.
The sizing of this "version" of the jacket is different from the GX2. I've had both the original and the GX2. Got a large in the original, needed an XL for the GX2. Ordered a XL of this one and it was huge. Large fits perfectly. I still have both the older jackets and they still fit the same, so it really is the jacket sizing and not me.This version has gone back to the zippers and velcro on the cuff ends.Seems warmer than the GX2 also.Very comfortable for long and short rides. I've been very happy with Cortech quality over the years. Had a car hit me with my 2.0 jacket, no visible damage on the jacket from the roll on the road. Protected my arm, elbow, and shoulder very well.

American cut for your big fat gut
Well engineered American cut true to size and long enough at waist. In NC it is almost spring and temp swings from 40 to mid 60s in a day. I was comfortable with a thin longsleeve shirt all day. Venting is good enough for a cool day but I doubt this will be a good Summer jacket. Kinda miss having a taller collar but it wasn’t as drafty as I thought. Nice stitching and has to be one of the best values at the price I paid $117 shipped free. I am 6’-4” 250 with a long torso and a gut and XXL (48) was just right to allow for some layering.

Great Jacket at a reasonable price
Initial quality is good, quality stitching zippers etc. We'll see how it wears with time. It's summer and plus 90 degree's so I removed the liner. It was easy to do and I should be able to put it back in without much trouble. Vents in the back work well. I didn't rate it a 5 because it could use some zippered vents in the front for better airflow in the heat. Has plenty of pockets for my phone, sunglasses and other stuff. It fit perfectly. I'm 5'10" 185 with a longish upper body. Often times jackets are too short this one is not. Hard armor isn't annoying, it fits right where it's supposed to. Overall I'm very happy with the jacket.

Excellent Fit and Finish, But No Sliders
This is a beautifully made jacket but I was expecting hard sliding surfaces on the elbows and shoulders, like my earlier version of this jacket has. I've gone down with an armored nylon jacket from HD that seemed to just stick to the asphalt and transfer impact energy directly to my shoulder despite the internal armor, so I prefer ones with hard sliding surfaces. It is a little more restrictive of airflow than the cheap versions, but I feel very secure with this jacket; nearly as good as a leather one.

Great Cooler Climate Jacket!
Bought this jacket for commuting in the mild summer and cold winters here in California. So far it kept me extremely warm even in temps below 40F .. The liner is very soft on the inside and I didn't feel anything abrasive that would rub while riding. There is a ton of vents on the arms and back if you need to let in the air, which I think would make you comfortable in temps under 85F.. Any higher and it might be a tad toasty for you.The overall fit and finish of the jacket is excellent. I would highly recommend to folks looking for a mild climate jacket with lots of great features.

Novice to expert rider, this jacket is for you!
You will not be disappointed! I didn't know what to expect when I purchased this online because normally jackets are something you have to try on and feel how it fits when on a bike. The sizing was perfect and the craftsmanship of the jacket itself is awesome. This jacket has lots of features - zip out liner, zip open vents in front and back, reflective piping (that is not overly obnoxious) and the adjustable snaps in the elbows along with the waist belt make for a great fit. If you are looking for a comfortable, well-made jacket that will function like one of those more expensive ones out there, I would give this one a look!
