good for starters
I was expecting a thick book, but i was amazed by how concise it was and still keep the important details. I also liked the tips were given on how, where and when to start reviewing, and how to eliminate the choices.Overall it was a good reviewer, i hope u have a detailed versions of different subjects covered in the exam.

Great study guide for NAVLE
I purchased the NAVLE Secrets study guide and I find it very useful and very practical. Unlike other study books this one is very concise and gives you great tools about the test itself which I find is key to achieve the results you want. I also find the video clips very helpful specially if you are a visual person.

Good For An Overview, But Not Complete
The NAVLE encompasses many topics in veterinary medicine, being that from small animal to large animals and exotics. That being said, you need a good overview of pretty much all the relevant ideas and concepts along with diseases and diagnoses for many prevalent problems. This book, while being condensed is not complete and should be used (if anything) as a supplement to your class notes or to probably some online veterinary study materials including Vetprep and Zuku. There was a review here that stated that they offer many questions for the NAVLE. That's not entirely true. For example, the book doesn't actually contain any of these said questions. You'll have to go to their web-site which is listed on the last page of the book to access any accessory study materials (and these are basically just overviews on how to study well for school/college and not directed specifically for the NAVLE). Also they only offer 50 questions online which is not enough if you want to get a good understanding of the material. I also noticed they didn't have a topic on epidemiology (how to calculate specificity, sensitivity, etc.) and do not go into detail about practice management (expenses, breakdown of costs, income, etc.). These are topics you'll surely run into during the exam. Also while reading the book (which I have read through entirely, by the way), there were many repetitions of certain paragraphs. You'd expect that someone would've edited this material before publishing but no... paragraphs were repeated verbatim on at least 3 occasions. It's as if someone just condensed their class notes, put it in a word document and published it without proofreading it.At the end of the book, they do offer some test-taking tips. But again these are generalized, not specifically for the NAVLE, but any multiple-choice test in general. If you're not used to taking tests, it may be helpful to you.The information itself is useful and it is condensed so it is useful as a supplement. Just don't rely on it solely for your study purposes. The price is also kinda steep. The book's only 176 pages. You may just be better off investing in a slightly more expensive online prep course or the NAVLE comprehensive review by Saunders. At least you'll know you'll have covered all the major topics.

Great Product
Very concise and straightforward. Loved the references to the videos for a more detailed explanation on certain topics throughout the book. The practice test at the end was helpful, especially the detailed explanations to to answers to help me understand the reasoning behind each answer choice.

Good place to start when preparing to study for the NAVLE.
This study guide is a good place to start when preparing to study for the NAVLE, or to use as a supplement to other study materials. I found the supplemental "study secrets" and "how to overcome test anxiety" documents helpful too. The 50 practice exam questions in the back of the booklet were a good example of how some of the questions on the exam are written, and the explanations provided were valuable. Make sure to also check out the free sample NAVLE questions and self-assessment practice exams (if you can afford them) available on the NBVME website.

Navle
Navle secrets study guide is helping me immensely to prepare for NAVLE. This guideās emphasis on important topics and their to the point briefs on these topics are sureshot to success. Practice questions in this guide helps to build up the confidence you need for exam. Highly recommended.

Don't bother!
Not worth the money. There is no mention of any veterinary authorship, or that the material has been checked by a veterinarian. I suspect that someone has merely taken excerpts from Merck. There are not sample test questions. Some of the material is written in a very basic style. No specific NAVLE test taking strategy guidelines, and what is there, is questionable. As others have suggested, put the money towards Zuku or VetPrep.
