Purchasing the 24v 60ah Moseworth LiFePO4 batteries was one of my better decisions!
I purchased the 24v 60ah version to use in my Blue Sky Boatworks 360 Pro. This is a boat made by Jackson Kayak that is actually a catamaran with a 4’ wide deck with a nice seat. The overall length of the boat is 13’ 4”. I call it a kayak for an old guy. Originally it was powered with a Motorguide Xi3 12v 55# using an expensive 12v 100ah LiFePO4 battery that I already owned from a couple of previous boats. Since the boat is often used for trolling, I decided to switch to a 24 volt trolling motor (80# Motorguide Xi5) and initially powered it with two 12v 55ah AGM batteries wired in series. Worked fine but the two batteries weighed about 75 pounds plus the wiring is more sophisticated with extra connectors in the system (Anderson-style from Amazon). A 24v 60ah battery that fit in a standard Group 31 battery box, and weighed less than 30 pounds made a lot of sense! That is the application, here is how I arrived with the Moseworth LiFePO4 battery …I paid nearly $1000 for the original 12v 100ah LiFePO4 and since have bought several smaller capacity batteries from the usual domestic suppliers. After watching Will Prowse destroy many batteries on YouTube from both here and China it was apparent that the Chinese suppliers were getting better. After reading all of the reviews and all of the answered questions on Amazon, I decided to give Moseworth a try!The battery arrived well packed in foam and my first impression was how professional everything looked, so a good initial impression. I have a 24v Victron Energy ip67 Charger that was used to bring it to full charge. Then I headed to the lake. The 24v trolling motor pushes the boat at 5 mph at full throttle with this battery with the boat loaded for normal fishing. Most of the afternoon I trolled at 2.5 mph and at the end of the day the battery still read 26.4v (which is 70%) so I was extremely pleased with the capacity of the Moseworth battery (this is also an advantage of the 24v trolling motor). I have had the boat out several times with the new battery and this seams to have been a good decision on my part! Now that I have been using the Moseworth 24v 60ah battery for a few months I wanted to update the review. The battery has performed flawlessly. My original Motorguide Xi5 trolling motor came with a 24v 80 pound thrust motor. At WOT, this motor draws 55 amps. If you purchase the Xi3 model (24v) the motor comes with a 70 pound thrust motor but only draws 42 amps at WOT with only a small drop in top speed. I ended up modifying the original Xi5 by changing the motor to the 70 pound thrust … this is the perfect combo for kayaks!

24 Volt Lithium works for 24v trolling motor
At first I bought this 24V lithium single battery for a Minn Kota Fortrex on a 14 ft aluminum boat and it did great. I just moved it to my 18 ft bass boat with a 24V Minn Kota Ultrex. I fished yesterday for 9 hours in current on the trolling motor on and off all day- battery was great. I can't believe how good this battery is.

Strong light 24v trolling motor battery.
So far it’s been fantastic!Just a few short trips and it does all I wanted. This battery, at just under #30, replaces #90 of lead acid deep cycles. With its smaller footprint, I was able to relocate the battery to a better area for weight distribution and my small 15’er felt more nimble and gained 2mph and drastically reduced porpoising.I read how extended use on High may damage the trolling motor, but I tried high for a short burst and it was notably stronger.Time will tell if this gets 5 stars, but for now a strong 4!

Won’t accept a charge!
The first time I charged this unit it took the charge no problem. I’m using a Dakota lithium 24v 5 amp hour charger. The second time I tried charging the unit the charger would not charge the battery. I then tried using the charger on a friends 24v lithium battery to see if that was what was wrong but it charged his battery just fine. I then tried using his charger which is a larger 24v charger and same thing my battery would not charge. I am 10 days outside of the return policy so I cannot return the product. Big bummer! I got to use it for one trip and that’s it. I also tried contacting the company that sold it and have not heard a response.

Great value here
Go to your local marine supply store and ask how much a battery with these exact specs cost. You will be blown away how much more expensive.I use this in an electric Intex raft I made and it works great. So much lighter than a lead based battery.

Works Great!
I bought this as a backup for my Dakota lithium battery, which literally costs twice as much for the same specs. It performs exactly the same. I can get about 4-5 hours of hard continual use out of it on my 24v Minn Kota Ulterra (trolling continously at 2.5 mph on a fully loaded 19 foot v-bottom with occasional stat lock). Battery charger (aviation plug) is far superior to the flimsy one that came with the Dakota.

Seller was very responsive and great communicator
The battery itself turned out to be too big for the project at hand, but the return process was made easy by this seller. They were quick to respond and provided helpful info to get these returned.
