The dimensions are stated in the description, 12.6" x 12.6" x 12.6" (width, length and height), so unless you have a bed frame that is more than 12.6 inches off the floor, the answer is no. The bed frames in my house are only 6.6 inches off the floor.

It is 12" high, so I would say Yes, it is high enough for a 6 year old to sit on.
