Q: How many pages are in the flip version?

There are only 16 double-sided pages in the Flip Letter size. I bought one, counted the pages, then wrote to them asking why there are not 32 like their other letter sized products state (since they omitted this info from their Flip product page); they confirmed the Flip Letter comes with 16 double-sided pages. BTW in their fuzzy math, 2 pages = 1 double-sided page. So a 32 page Rocketbook only has 16 "sheets". Conversely, anybody who has ever bought a 120 page spiral notebook can expect to pull out 120 pieces of paper. Not very transparent business practice for such an expensive product.

Q: I have heard I can only reuse pages five times. Is this correct?

I don't know for sure, but I have used and wiped these pages many more than 5 times without a problem. As a matter of fact, I have never come up against such a limit with any RocketBook, although in theory there must be one. I expect the cover and spiral binding, robust as they are, will give out first.

Q: Are the notes searchable once digitized?

Yes, it works for me in Microsoft OneNote, haven't tried it any other way. I believe it also works with the Rocketbook app, but I've not used it yet.

Q: Why do you need pages and extra notebooks? Does this erase without water?

You don't necessarily need more than one rocket book since you can upload the pages online and then just erase & reuse. You could erase with the eraser on the frixion pen but it would be tedious if erasing a whole page. I went a paper towel to wipe off the ink then go over the page with the microfiber cloth to make sure it's all off.
