It works.
Hello all. I purchased the SYNTECSO 220-440Lbs Pull Up Assistance Bands. My weight is 320 lbs and it picked my big butt up, lol. That's right, IT WORKS! Make sure you position your feet to the back of the foot rest or it'll spank you like ya mama use to when you were little! lol...

Good quality works a lot
When I ordered I was thinking is it worth for $50I had a question and I was already thinking to return before received the itemWhen I received the item now I can tell it’s definitely worth for $50It’s really good quality every parts you can tell. Climbs are metal not plastic, bottom red part is I thought before it was rubber but it’s not, it is good plastic it’s not soft it’s not super hardI’m almost 200 lb and I can not Handle my weight with my current mussels this is really helps me to do pull up correctly it was Important me to start pull up exercise, definitely 5 stars and definitely worth for 50 bucks

Great but can cause a lot of hurt!
I've been liking this. I got the 330lb resist one and I have moved to taking 1 band off of both sides so it's definitely helping my progress.I was using this and the step slipped around the back side of my feet and the step sling-shotted up and hit me in the head. I had to get 6 staples.Be careful!

Good Device for Large, Tall Person
I am 6’3” and weigh 220 lbs (I wish, I actually weigh about 240). I do a fair amount of HIIT/CrossFit training, and this device allows me to incorporate a lot of pull-ups into several of my workout routines. You can adjust the assistance level, so I tailored it so I could do 20-25 seconds of pull-ups and be nearing muscle failure at the end of the reps (15-18 reps). If any of the rubber straps breaks, I’ll replace it with one I removed in adjusting the resistance down, but I suspect if one of them fails, others will not be far behind. In the end, when this wears out I’ll immediately buy another.

Needs more straps that do less
I purchased this as an obese individual. I was on a beginner exercise program and beginner exercise programs love to give fat people like me bodyweight stuff they have trouble doing, like chin-ups and large sets of squats and planks. Luckily I can just scale that stuff down in reps or time but needed something to help me with the chin-ups, because I can't do even one rep (like most untrained people) and I couldn't even do the suggested replacement negatives effectively. I thought to myself that this item could support my weight and give me the leg up (or chin up) I needed. I purchased this and tried several different setups: attaching it to the rafters over my chin-up bar (I exercise in a garage), attaching it directly to the chin-up bar, trying it standing, trying it kneeling. Unfortunately I discovered the following shortcomings:1) Each band provides 33 lbs of resistance according to the manufacturer. I found this is too much of a step up or drop down. I was not able to find a set of bands that worked for me. It was either too light of resistance or too heavy. I could either do way too many reps (3 sets of 12) or barely one set of 3.2) The aforementioned bands are using elastic tension to lift you up. This means that at the bottom of your pull-up/chin-up they are providing maximum force. At the top they are providing a lot less. You are not getting consistent resistance through the action. This means that different muscles are getting worked than during a "true" chin-up. When I am at the bottom of my chin-up it's almost lifting me up completely. At the top it's doing a lot less. I also had to use this standing, as when I kneeled in it (I'm 6'3") it generated insufficient force to assist me. My biceps are absolutely burned out at the end of this, but my back is fine.I would recommend looking for a lat pulldown attachment if you are obese and want to train up to chin-ups/pullups. It will be more expensive but I think it would be a more effective replacement exercise than using this. This seems to work fine for regular people. It doesn't work very well for me.

Dangerous- don’t order!
The rubber band snapped and the screw holding it in place flew by my husbands face and is still lodged into our ceiling. It that hit his eyeball it could have been extremely serious!! Very dangerous product!

Awesome for gymnastics
I love this device. I'm getting back into gymnastics, but I got some more weight to lose. This device takes some stress off my joints, so I can start getting back into training even though I'm not yet back at ideal weight. I've used these for parallel bar dips / nordic hamstring curls. Get the "PU pedal" version. The flexible plastic seat is more sturdy / more comfortable.

Nice addition to my home gym
I’m 6’ 4” and 240lbs and trying to get fit. This is a great product. Been using this over my knee up tower for about a week and it’s great. Very easy to setup…less than 5 minutes!! I’m new to pull-ups and need the extra push up. It’s like having a trainer’s help but without paying a trainer’s price. Hopefully soon I can begin taking away bands and do more without all the help. The feet stands work nicely for my size 14s or when using my knees. Good product.
