Best barrier cream on the market
Best barrier cream on the market. I prefer this formula for 2 reasons. 1. It's color: white is perfect to matching white diaper. This is important with newborns and infants because the original formula is tan colored and I was unable to differentiate between poop and barrier cream. Diaper changing shouldn't be confusing.2. Texture: This formula has a thinner texture and goes on easier and smoother, requiring less amount. Original formula is way too thick and requires a lot of force to squeeze out and therefore I feel like I waste buttpaste with every use. This formula is more expensive but completly worth the cost. A little goes a long way. I use this with every diaper change to avoid diaper rash. My older children will request this buttpaste if they have sore bums.

Great product
I use it at every diaper change to prevent diaper rash. When my baby did get some redness because I didn't change the diaper overnight, this cream helped clear it up really quickly. Also, I apply it once daily between her folds in her neck, armpits, legs, etc. It helps to prevent and clear up the redness and irritation that babies can get from the skin rubbing against itself and from collecting spit up, dirt, or whatever it is that builds up between the folds.

I love it! Before having a baby I never heard ...
I love it! Before having a baby I never heard of Boudreaux's Butt Paste, but now I see it everywhere. It has a much, much better smell than, say, Desitin!I use this all-natural paste at every diaper change for rash prevention. It is a thinner consistency and is easier to wipe up. I feel a little better using all-natural formula for an every-time application. But then I use extra-strength (red) paste of the same brand when a rash does develop. My infant child his diaper changes.

Works!
I use this every other diaper change, with cloth diapers, and we've been diaper rash free. We originally intended to avoid zinc, since I believe it can build up on the cloth diapers and eventually cause them to lose their absorbency. However, nothing else seemed to prevent or heal diaper rash, so we decided to use this and just buy some RLR to strip the diapers as needed. (1 month later we haven't had to do this yet.)We originally used regular and maximum strength since we had some from baby shower gifts. This one works just as well.

Gooey
The paste that goes on and never comes off. I have to give my baby a bath to get this completely off of his skin. I hate that, but it’s the only thing that I can use with my cloth diapers. This does not ‘heal’ diaper rash, it’s meerly just a protective layer. I use it frequently and have had zero diaper rash problems on my baby.

Gave one to daycare because it works well
I think this product works just as well as the regular Butt Paste. Both are great products that work well, I think it's just a matter of whether you want to go the all natural ingredient route and pay a little more for it. This one is thinner and not as greasy but that hasn't taken away from its effectiveness. We only use if there's actual diaper rash and it clears it up quickly. Tested it out at home for a time to make sure it was effective before giving a tube to daycare to use.

Best one for sensitive butts
Best diaper cream for sensitive butts. No petroleum, no fragrances... I tried just about every cream without petroleum, and this one takes the cake. It is not super thick and a big blob of it will start to slide off your finger if you aren't ready to apply it. However, I've found the super thick ones prevent urine and stool from absorbing in the diaper, causing "blowouts" with just a small amount of poop. So this one is the perfect combination of thick, natural, and effective!

Works as well as (if not better than) Desitin
I love that this is paraben and preservative free! We've been using Boudreaux's Natural Butt Paste on my 9 month old son since he was a month old. He had a diaper rash and his pediatrician recommended an application of Desitin zinc oxide cream followed by an application of Aquaphor or Vaseline. I avoid synthetic chemicals, petroleum, parabens, preservatives, etc. whenever possible so I did a little research and decided to try Boudreaux's Natural Butt Paste followed by Alba Un-Petroleum Jelly. His rash healed quickly and he hasn't gotten another one since.
