Where was this my whole life?
Ok I'm not a mathematician at all. I "passed" algebra with a D, failed Geometry the first time around and had to take it again in order to get a B. So as you can see, my math skills are deplorable. After the fiasco that was 2020, I pulled my kiddos to homeschool them, and we tried different methods to teach math. Ummmm....that was an unmitigated disaster, and my daughter tried math u see, some other program and Khan academy. She got almost three years behind in math as what she was learning was taking forever. I heard Khan was great, but she was so confused. Enter Learn Math Fast.I found it online searching for a way to catch a kiddo up in math. My daughter was 14 and at a fifth grade level. With LMF, you start at the beginning, and by beginning, I mean 3+2. The reasoning behind it is that it's so easy, your child will build up confidence. If you're an adult, it gets you through all of the areas you were lacking. So kiddo started in August and has flown through 3 of the 7 books. It is mid Feb and she's starting book four. If she continues at the rate she is, she will get through the entire series by the end of next year having gotten through algebra and geometry right on time! It's been a life saver! What I like about it is this program gives you options of ways to use it. You can just read through, not do the worksheets and brush up. You can do the worksheets and timed tests, you can do the worksheets and skip the tests. Whatever you want for your purposes. In our case, we read and work through all of the lessons, do the worksheets and the tests. But since she has anxiety, we don't time the tests. When I work with her, I can tell where she's stuck, and we work through it together over and over until she's got it, so no need for the timing part. I'd rather her take her time than fly through. The reason they do it is because you are so good at the problems that you can just whip through. But honestly I think what we're doing is good enough without stressing her out.Now back to the first part of my review. I'm learning math! I can help her for once. It's so awesome to know that I'm getting what I missed forty years ago. This is NOT based upon common core, so if you want that, this won't be your jam. But my own personal opinion is that if you work with math, you will absorb and grasp the concepts that they try to make you learn by doing CC anyway. Doing math makes you grasp the concepts anyway, so I think CC benchmarks and the new way of doing things is more confusing. That's why Khan didn't work for us.So I hope that this review was helpful. It saved us!

A great math!
Easy to understand and catch up on parts that get missed or don't have a 100% understanding. We did the free assessment on their website and had all our older boys start back in the first book to review decimals until they had mastery.Only down side is I do have to add more review pages. I dont find that to be big deal, I routinely assess where they have gaps and I print off extra workpages off of dadworksheets.com and have them keep up their skills.Super easy to understand. I have used this math with kids that English is their second language and they have better understanding from this book.It is very important kids master place values, memorize multication, master decimals, fractions and converting fractions before mo ing forward. It seems to be the places they are most likely to struggle, but when they get it, math is fun and a good challenge.Math is so important for young men especially for their future skill sets, I didn't want to see my 6 boys hindered in life or limited because they didn't enjoy math. To enjoy something you have to understand it and be competent. This curriculum does that. The older saxon books (first or second editions) are the best for sequential mastery, but this is best to get understanding quickly and help struggling students gain confidence.

Easy and helpful
This book is great. We are in the multiplication section. It explains things well and has a lot of practice sheets online you can use to really hammer in the concepts.

So far it's great
I homeschool. I'm not a math person. My 10th grader has not been able to get past pre-algebra. (He had been in a co-op that didn't help him) We can do these lessons. There are about 25 lessons total. Not comprehensive but the basics. Hoping to move on to Algebra and geometry in this series next. Would make a good tool for tutoring.

Love it.
Love this curriculum. We were using another math in our homeshool. It was more overwhelming to my children. This is perfect, to the point, easy to understand instructions. Will get the whole series.
