The clear window makes this the best butterfly habitat. I love the little Velcro flip out life cycle chart. We bought the habitat when it was still too cold for the caterpillars, so we also appreciated the free caterpillars voucher that we could redeem whenever we were ready.Easy-to-use kit, very educational, and we enjoyed watching each new butterfly emerge from their chrysalis.Some reviews say to scoop out the poop to help the caterpillars eat better, but it didn't seem to be a problem for ours. The kit says not to open the caterpillar jar because it might introduce bacteria or something. It also makes a mess because the caterpillars spin webs everywhere, so they might get caught in them if you undo the cap. We waited 3 days (as per instructions) after the chrysalides formed, cleaned off the webbing that was around them, and waited for our 5 butterflies to emerge! Great kit!!

My daughter was in distance learning for the entire 1st grade, and even though the teacher taught about the life cycle of the butterfly, she did not get to witness it herself. Well, here comes Mommy with our “Summer of Science” theme. I decided to buy this kit after reading the great reviews. We ordered our caterpillars when the weather was cooler (our summers usually average 90- 100 degrees so I ordered when it was probably 70-80 and got the caterpillars out of my mailbox as soon as the post person dropped them off). We placed her caterpillars on her closet shelf to protect it from drafts and sunlight and they thrived. All of our 5 caterpillars formed into their chrysalis and all 5 of them became beautiful butterflies! What a success! We loved the product because it was easy, informative, and had all the tools necessary for success!!

We have been enjoying this butterfly enclosure with butterflies for a few months now. We’ve released 2 batches of butterflies so far. My kids love it!

Oh how much fun this was, as well as educational. All 5 emerged and wow what an experience. Everything was included and I like that the voucher you can redeem whenever it’s convenient for you and the butterflies. Last butterfly didn’t want to leave and lingered around a bit in my yard.

Got this for my granddaughter and she received three caterpillars. I would assume more caterpillars should be included. Three butterflies is not many and not what was advertised. How can you have a butterfly farm, if you only have three total butterflies? Not satisfied and my granddaughter was disappointed for her birthday.

Where do I start? This is a favorite with the little ones at school so I bought another for home use. The kids can watch and learn the process of caterpillar to butterfly right before their eyes. Very easy to use, clean and store for the next season. You get clear views of the butterflies.This is a great experience for all ages in my opinion.

Our granddaughter loved watching the caterpillars become butterflies. The garden was easy to assemble. Buyer beware, the caterpillars are not included and a separate purchase. Releasing the butterflies to the backyard flowers was fun!
