refurbished Marantz 7015 receiver
Bought refurbished because I wanted to settle something I've read many times. It's said in many places Marantz receivers are more musical than Denon is. I've bought Denon receivers for years and disagree now I have both. Back to the product. Everything works as it should and buying refurbished saved a bunch of money. I caught it was it was 1k. Now it's more, but I'd still buy it because it's much less than the new price. It does sound good, I just prefer the Denon sound more. Same owner so profit goes to same place. Honestly I'd buy the cheaper one. This Marantz is more than acceptable for 99.9% of people.

Great deal w/ReFurbished AVR
Been a Yamaha guy since the 70’s, but the Marantz brand has always reflected top tier quality. When I saw this (New=$2500.00) SR-7015 AVR for under 1K, I tapped into the rainy day money and snatched it up. This unit is flawless - has a one year Amazon warranty, and for that price I added an additional 3 yr warranty for a very reasonable price. The added power + Audyssey room correction have taken my home theater setup to a new level.

Great sound but received early serial # with the 8k 4k/120 video issue
Under $1k for an Marantz SR7015 is an excellent value. It replaces my old Onkyo TX-NR676 and add 2 more channels (11.2) with one of those amplified(9.2) and the other requiring external amplification. This AVR is much bigger in height and slightly deeper in length than the Onkyo and weighs quite a bit more, so take that into account for you cabinet space.Very easy to hook up with all the speaker terminal at the very bottom and HDMI across the top, also a full set of pre-outs and two sub channels. Audyssey MultEQ XT32 is a nice step up from the Onkyo version (newer Onkyo's now providing Dirac now though). 8 point room correction took about 20 minutes to set up and really improved the sound from what was hear just out of the box.The Marantz is a warmer sound than the Onkyo and less fatiguing (less bright) than the receiver it replaced. IN movies and TV the center channel dialog is exceptionally clear and clean. I really enjoy the tone in movies however it shines even better in music.Pros-Receiver was clearly refurbished but in factory plastic-no scratches or nicks- 1 Year Marantz refurb warranty paperwork in the box- all accessories look new and factory sealedNegatives:-They shipped this in an Amazon box with just the original Marantz foam packing and accessories thrown in, no Marantz box or double box.-No batteries were included-Accessory box was mangled and smashed but all the cables, mic and antennas were fine- Very Early serial number shipped that has the bad 8k, 4k/120 issue requiring the external box from Marantz (on the bright side entering the serial number on Marantz page showed it still qualified for the free box as a fix)

Excellent receiver in like new condition
SR7015 came in, not in its original box, but that was the only thing that differentiated it from 'new.' It is factory renewed (the Marantz shipping label was still there) and came with all accessories. It even had all the 'features advertising' labels still attached to the front panel. If you are serious about room calibration, get the Audyssey MultiEQ-X application from their website. It costs $199 for a license attached to a receiver, but it enables you to fine-tune sound any way you want. The hardware itself is very capable. In short, I'm a happy customer

Great Unit. Working as advertised. But the delivery…..
Nothing but high marks for this re-certified unit. Works beautifully. The video functions here are top notch, which was what i was really after. Upgraded from a Pioneer Elite Sc-91, which has turned my video capability upside down. Great work.I would give this 6 stars! However, as part of the experience, the delivery via FedEx was among the Top 5 worst experiences i have ever had with a delivery. Amazon can do nothing, and FedEx is about as much fun to deal with as a Tax Audit. The highlights are misinformation, being openly lied too, and no accountability for any of these things.I almost returned this product because of FedEx.Just sayin.
