I bought this toy for my 5 year old granddaughter who spends a day with me every week. I am always looking for things to do together. I thought about a toy we used to get when we were kids and how much fun we all had with them. I didn't know if there was anything like it sold these days, but decided to look it up on Google -- and there it was on Amazon! Sold in pairs no less, and with a bag to store them in! When they arrived, I couldn't wait for her next visit. She caught on right away and we had such a great time all day playing with them. She took hers home with her and unfortunately the ball came off the rubber band, so I will do my best to repair it. Mine is still doing fine and yes I do practice with it. It is not sitting idle waiting for her return. I also ordered two more sets so we could have some to fall back on and continue the fun, at least until something else catches her fancy. I have read some people complain that they are cheaply made and that may be, but so were the originals. They were never meant to last like the old metal trucks "Santa" brought my brother, but rather to have fun in the moment and build memories.

I grew up during the 60's /70's. When I was growing up, the paddle ball was referred to as a "bo-lo" bat. I can remember having contests with my cousins - paddling the ball in different ways. I ordered this paddle ball to relive those memories - it's also a great stress reliever. The paddle is very durable. The only thing I would change is the length of the string (rubber). I say this because in order to paddle in different ways, the string should be a little longer. I would suggest creating the paddles with various lengths of the string. Other than that, I absolutely love the paddleball!!

Two of these in one bag. Inexpensive little paddle balls. We hit one way too hard and the ball flew off but I was able to repair it and it was a user error anyway.

I ourchaaes this for my son and daughter (Age 6 & 11). It comes in a cool carrying bag and looked to atleast be decent quality to last anywhere from 6 month to a year of regular use for a kid.We've only had it for about 1.5 to weeks. The first one broke the first day my son used it. The second one broke after the third use. Ball just completely deaches from the string with just regular use. I haven't even gotten my hands it to try and do any power smacks with it to see how far I can make the ball ricochet off thr paddle.I just have to warn that the quality of the produce for use is really low and seems like all the reviews posted are just from people opening it and not using it yet.

So they arrived on-time and as they look in the photos. My granddaughter loved it but they take some practice. She asked my husband to show her how to do it and it lasted 2 minutes then the string detached from the ball. So when used by a child that doesn’t know how to play with it it works great but then an adult uses it (the way it’s intended) not so sturdy. Now I have to buy a needle to try and fix it or just throw it away. Just wanted to share our experience.

My daughter played with it a handful of times, but got tangled easily. Durability is not great. Good for gift as value for your money, however do not expect quality.
