While they are solid brackets when locked in at 90 degrees, the alignment out of the box was bad. These may be able to support up to 500lbs when deployed, and were very expensive compared to other options (we wanted to buy once, and get good quality) but they don't collapse properly. For $140 we expect better quality than this. The mis-alignment affects the bolt position of the bracket to the desk surface, this will cause added friction at the hinge, excessive wear, and eventual squeaks if it has to flex every time the desk is raised or lowered. I'm just glad I caught this before installing them.

The weight capacity is listed at 550# and it feels like it would support all of that. I used the hinges to allow me to have a work top in my garage that would fold so I was able to use the full length of the garage when I didn't need the work top. It works well.

USING THEM TO HOLD UP MY SPA BLANKET, GREAT SO FAR.

Used for a fold up Bistro table with aa solid 1.5” solid wood top. Brackets were a little pricey, but well worth the cost.
