Q: Will this work with a 5 gallon bucket of 15W-40 diesel oil?

This is really not suited for 5 gallon buckets. It is taller than the bucket and is overkill. The opening on the bucket doesn't have the thread for the base of the unit and the pickup tube is quite long. It is really meant for 55 gallon barrels. If the diesel oil was in the 55 gallon barrel, yes, it will pump 15W-40 diesel oil.

Q: Can this pump liquid fertilizers without rusting?

Just curious if the person actually purchased this pump and used it to pump liquid fertilizer? I am considering the pump for this use.

Q: will this pump methyl ethyl ketone?

It will pump as far as viscosity is concerned, but you will lose the nitrile seals in the pump unit rapidly as ketones and aldehydes will quickly degrade nitrile. I would look for a unit designed to pump acetone or ketone/aldehydes.
