Best Box
I purchased the smaller version for my husband but he yes 6 ft and it was too short for him to sit on. So I purchased this taller box and it’s perfect. He loves the quality material as well as the sound. He plays it with our church band and everyone things it sounds great.

This baby ROCKS!
This is my first Cajon and all I can say is, WOW!I love the bass and the snare sounds. The frontplate is smooth and punchy. It arrived just in time and in good shape. it's light and I'm also using the ChromaCast Cajon bag. The amplification is available and it works great. I'm plugging it to my portable speaker (Block Rocker) using 1/4 inch cable and it works like magic. It's loud!!!It's a beauty and I can't wait to get my first gig. Very much recommended.I hope this helps.

Good sound and quality at reasonable price
I've played several cajons and own two others. Needed one w/ pickups for louder, amplified gigs. I first tried the Artisan series from same manufacture and returned it (see separate review). When amplified, the extra two pickups for the snares make a big difference (vs the Artisan model which inexplicably has just has one pick up for the whole cajon). Bright snare sound and finger rolls really come through especially when turning the Tone knob up.When un-amplified it also sounds balanced and natural so I will be using this for all variety of gigs. Also this cajon is "forgiving" in that you do not need precise location and technique to get both great bass and snare tones. The output signal signal strength from the pickups is not quite "line" level. It is an "instrument" level signal (yes, there is such a thing). With the cajon's output knob cranked to 10 and plugged into a line level input on a mixer it is still not as loud as line-level. Padding turned off, of course. So if you are going to be doing live mixes with other gear (mics, guitars, etc.) you will need a channel on your mixer with adjustable gain. [Update 8/2024- Getting good bass sound in the mix is tricky. I've found I need to turn the tone down to 2 and then boost the bass as high as it will go on my mixing board. Other reviewers here don't seem to have this problem so maybe the bass pickup is not working on mine].

Sounds great
I have gotten 3 different cajons. All minel cajons . I like them all but I especially love this one because I can plug it in to our amp system which you can see behind a picture. It lets me be hard with the band that I’m playing with it does really sound good I’m very happy with it and I’m glad I made this choice. If you do plan a combo like this you would want that power so you can be heard and it also makes the band sound wonderful. So take it from me you cannot go wrong with this Cajon

Many Sounds
Good product except if I turn up max tone, I get distortion. I am very pleased with the many sounds I can get from this drum.
