So happy I got this thing! I was concerned with whether or not it could fit in my microwave, but surprisingly, it fits, and COMFORTABLY. It's HUGE but if you like to make the occasional monster sized or even double-wrapped burrito, this is the size to get. It is in fact commercial grade. Not only can you use it for tortillas, you can also use it to make other things in it as well, such as pretzels or pretzel bites or other things. Just spray em with oil, pop it in the microwave, and then add your seasonings afterward! Can also use it to re-heat pancakes or waffles. Also keep in mind although the max size tortillas this can hold are the 12" jumbo ones, that means it can also fit anything smaller than that as well, including taco-sized tortillas. So you have many options here. I literally work at a Mexican restaurant, so I have experience with making Mexican foods. At my restaurant though, we use the actual hot tortilla press for burritos and tacos. But at home I don't have a tortilla press or warmer, so this is the next best thing, and it is used at some restaurants and even on some taco/burrito trucks. It will keep them nice and warm for up to an hour if you are making multiples or even if you are just making one for yourself. So that's pretty cool.

I Love the size and quality as we use 12” Flour Tortillas for burritos and they fit no problem.The tortilla warmer just fits in our microwave so it’s a winner too.The only problem is the thing is hard to open as the top fits snug.I could hardly get it open and used some pliers which worked and made it very easy to pull the top off.Idea, put a resign knob that has something to grip, should be very easy to re design?Thanks!

Perfect for very large tortillas, microwavable with heavy construction. I have no doubt I could stand on this thing without breaking it.Works great when making a large batch of wraps or tortillas to keep them moist and pliable. Deep enough to hold 20 thin tortillas or wraps. Lid fits airtight enough it also works as storage after the fact, just cut out a circle of wax paper using the lid as a guide and put it on top of the stack before closing the lid. Make sure to remove the fresh tortillas and wipe away any excess steam before storing them inside.Thick, dense plastic is very durable and well-insulated so tortillas cool slowly and stay soft.

This unit is huge. Great for the large flour tortillas. Or for storing a large wall clock.

Here's a few observations about product (also a response to some other reviews here):1. Heavy duty material. It works great. Definitely made for food service industry.2. I guess the manufacturer addressed the tight lid issue, because it works very smooth. It seems the newest reviews are positive and don't mention the lid issue anymore.3. I purchased the 12 1/2" model. It's huge because it's designed for large and extra large flour tortillas which is exactly what I wanted. People are ordering this product and complain about the size and leave a low review?!! I don't get it. A persons inability to know how big a 12 1/2" server would be, and then complain about its size is beyond me.

This is, overall, a great idea and there aren't many products like it, especially here on Amazon. But there are caveats: It's way overpriced for what you get. Watch for a sale. The black color is ugly, even in person. From what I can tell, this was also available in green and terracotta colors in the past. The latter would be the color to get. Black shows off none of the interesting details on the lid, and just doesn't fit in with anything else on the table. Lastly, when the lid is fully inserted, it's extremely hard to remove. You see that knob in the center? It's very shallow, which means zero grip. So, if the color is not an issue, you can get it for a good price, and you can be sure to leave the lid slightly askew, this is the 12-inch tortilla server for you.

I had a tortilla warmer, but it fit only smaller flour tortillas, corn tortillas, and other smaller objects I put in it. I buy burrito-size tortillas in order to feed my husband & teens. This Jumbo Tortilla Warmer fits them and works fine in keeping them warm and pliable. The lid fits well. The warmer cleans up easily. I'm going to buy another one for a gift.
