Unlike many other parents who had to try several bottle brands before finding the perfect fit for their baby, I started with The First Years Breastflow Bottles 3.5 years ago with my first child and am still using the same brand to date with my second child. In short, this particular brand worked for both of my children from the beginning.This product was originally recommended by a friend as a means of preventing nipple confusion between the breast and the bottle. I breastfed both of my children - the first for 10.5 months and the second for 13.5 months. I initially used this bottle to supplement with my own breast milk (or allow my husband to feed the babies from time to time) and later to supplement with formula...and eventually started both of my children on Whole Milk with this bottle. I never had any issue changing between the breast and the bottle; my children fed from both interchangeably. The suckling motion of my child and the control of the milk flow from the bottle "appeared" to mimic that from the breast. When feeding from the bottle, both children also seemed to be soothed by their own suckling motion on the wider bottle nipple (which is advertised as similar to the female's breast construction) as they were on my own breast.The milk does get trapped in between the two nipple membranes, which initially concerned me because I felt like I was wasting "liquid gold" since I wasn't a huge breastmilk producer. However, if you take your middle finger and thumb and squeeze in a downward motion at the base of the nipple, the milk flows back into the bottle so that none is wasted! If the bottle top is not sealed properly, this could cause some milk leakage from the bottle, but I've been using these bottles for 3.5 years and do not consider this a recurring issue.The 4oz bottles come with Stage 1 nipples and the 9oz bottles come with Stage 2 nipples. My daughter is now 19-months-old and (though we are now weaning her from the bottle) she still prefers to drink her milk from her bottle even though she drinks water solely from sippy cups all day. Based on that, I would conclude that the flow of the milk from this bottle is still sufficient to satisfy a child her age.All in all, I would recommend the Breastflow Bottle to any breastfeeding mother. It worked well for me for two children, so it is at least worth giving a try!

I was very excited to try this product as it’s supposed to reduce gas in infants. I was happy with how quickly the product shipped and how easy it is to clean the bottles and parts but I have to say I’m still pretty disappointed in my purchase. One, the bottle leaks my precious liquid gold pretty badly. I would say about 10ml was lost throughout the feedings. Two, my son has terrible gas pains, keeping me up all night after using these bottles. Three, the nipple collapses and folds, making an air pocket and causing leakage and I have to stop the feeding in order to allow the clear part of the nipple to re-gain it’s original shape so that my son isn’t sucking air. Lastly, the space between the green part of the nipple and clear part of the nipple harbors lots of precious milk, which never seems to drain back into the bottle or make its final journey to my son’s tummy, rendering the milk useless unless I take the bottle apart and save the milk in some other way.I wish I could request a refund but I’ve already washed all the bottles and tossed the packaging it came in.

Le doy tres estrellas porque si ayuda al bebé a adaptarse al pecho y biberón para una lactancia mixta, pero no es verdad que la leche sale sólo al succionar del bebé hay que estar acomodado el biberón de una forma que se haga vacío y hay veces que el bebé se termina la leche sin lograr conseguir ese vacío. Es sencilla de lavar si se lava inmediatamente después de la toma. La mamila tiene unas ranuras en donde la leche puede quedar seca si no se lava inmediatamente.
