ViewSonicPS501W 3400 Lumens WXGA HDMI Short Throw Projector for Home and Office

First projector and after months of looking at the hundreds of options, brands, prices, this fits the bill.If you want short throw (120” from about 1.5m away) if you want decent ‘verified’ Lumens and a “plenty good” image, I don’t think you will be disappointed at this price. It’s not full HD and there’s 4k options for a few hundred pounds, but it’s the combination of short throw, brightness and picture which to get all three you are looking at double or treble the price!Can’t give it 5* as the built in speakers just won’t cut it, but plugged £100 Bose Companion multimedia speakers through the 3.5mm jack (which for the price are also excellent) and you’ve got an impressive home cinema. We have this on a (low) coffee table in a Garden Room and it’s now a cinema room!We’ve watched football at 4pm with no blinds on large windows and it’s very watchable. At night when darker the brightness is TV quality. No Wifi, no bluetooth and only 1 HDMI port …. so it won’t be for everyone but we aren’t techie people and simply plugged out SkyQ box in the HDMI, plugged the speakers in to the 3.5mm Jack and hey presto …👌🏼For around £400 we are very pleased with it.

I purchased this product for our golf simulator room. After installing the unit we noticed the resolution wasn’t good enough. Amazon returned it and we purchased for about the same $$$ a reconditioned Optama projector with 1080p resolution...much better!

Je voulais un projecteur pour un cinéma maison, mais celui-ci ne répond pas à ce besoin. Il n'est pas full HD 1080P et le format 16:9 n'est pas bon ( native 720P et native 4:3). Bref si vous voulez un projecteur pour un cinéma maison, ce projecteur n'est pas pour vous...

I use this with my golf simulator and for the price, this projector is hard to beat. Has enough vertical offset to get the image nice and square.

Easy to install, everything is great, but no carrying case, just the projector, cable and the remote in the box. Works well with USB to USB-C (IPad pro 12.9 & new MacBook Air.
