It did what it's supposed to do.

This is my first time polishing aluminum and I was able to clean up the metal with this wheel. Within second, you can see the result of the clean aluminum. when you are cleaning metal with this wheel, make sure that you avoid the sharp edge as it could rip through the pads.It takes a little bit of technique to get used to it, but when it does the job, it works like miracle. I was able to clean up the aluminum for my project within a few minutes and get it ready for buffing to the final stage.The quality and the value of this product is very good. I would highly recommend it, and I will continue to purchase more in the future.

like the product. works well for polishing aluminum. Just wish they gave you what they advertised.

I ran this on a HF 6” bench polisher and it did fine. I used a snap in reducer from a wire wheel, to get it to the .5”, that I needed.I polished a variety of metals and it fared well for the amount of hours it was used. I’d estimate .5” diameter reduction, for about 3-4 hours of usage. I didn’t “lay into” the wheel, rather let the wheel do the work. It did chunk out, but that was my fault, because I let the wheel snag a protruding part of metal. I’m ordering another set.I’d probably estimate this to be in the 220 grit range... I wish they gave a better description than “coarse” and I also wish other grades were available.

Just a note, this seems to be designed for an 8" bench grinder, not a hand held angle grinder. It did NOT fit on my 4.5" angle grinder, would have caught on the guard. And you really DO want to keep the guard in place with this. Might fight a bigger angle grinder, but not a 4.5". Other than that, it's fine.
