Heavy and Stylish
I'm a relatively big guy (3X) and the jacket fits perfectly. It looks great and I don't use it for work, I have 2 Carhartts for that and I only use those when it's really cold, because they can get uncomfortably warm. But I really like the style. I don't know how it'll hold up, because I don't wear it enough, but it's really nice and heavy, plenty of room. I wore it when it was cold this past week to run errands, instead of my usual (a columbia I've had for about 10 years), it did fine, but I was only out for a half hour. Nice jacket, I'd purchase another, but for what I'm using it for it should last for years to come.

Decent coat
I like this coat. It's warm and fits well. Haven't had any super cold weather yet, but was quite warm in the 20's. Just had a regular cotton button up shirt on under it. Only had it a few weeks, but no complaints so far.

Legendary whitetails chore coat
Bought this for my man and it’s perfect! Excellent quality and durability. Fits him perfectly! He’s 6’ around 190-200 lbs and got a large. The lining is so pretty and has so many pockets for things. Very thick, warm, and functional. Can be dressed up or down.

Good coat, not a great coat
I've been eyeballing this coat for a while, not for rustling cattle or mending barbed wire fences, but as a seasonally intermediate (fall, early spring) Marlboro Man wanna be coat. What gave me pause was the retail price and the mixed reviews here on Amazon. Still my lust continued.Lo and behold, my patience paid off, and Amazon finally offered this in my size (medium) at a Limited Time Deal price, with an additional discount on top of that. Sweet! In person, it's not a bad looking coat - definitely has an Autumnal vibe to it.The pictures don't quite illustrate the sheen of the 'waxed cotton' shell. It isn't bad, but this coat does have a bit of a 'shine' to it.Thumbs up on the red flannel lining. It looks Fargo and feels comfortable.Size-wise, if mine is any indicator, these run a bit on the small side. I'm not big, not much gut yet, but this medium does not leave much wiggle room. A bulky sweater or hoodie would make this a tight fit. Wrist cuffs are surprisingly snug even at the widest button setting. So, if you do decide to get this and expect some roominess (i.e. if you are actually needing a 'chore' coat), you may want to go one size up.The next consideration are the buttons, which seem to be one of the sticking points in the other reviews.I'm happy to report that the buttons on my coat are all fine, and my intent is to depend more on the zipper, which is of reasonable size and functions well.My final quibble would be the pockets, which could have been a bit more generous in size. I can shove my paws into the fronts, but not very far.And again, if you are intending to use this coat in an environment that requires bulkier gloves, those front pockets may leave you wanting. So yeah, don't get me wrong, for me it's a keeper, looks rustically decent and should be comfortable for both pre and post winter seasons. Had I paid full retail or expected a fully fledged 'chore coat', I might have been less enthused. :)

Quality -Style - Comfort - Fit
I love everything about this coat. It's a bit heavier than I expected, but that is certainly not a negative.

Button popped off, seam tear after 3 weeks. Maybe just a defective one?
SECOND UPDATE: The jacket tore AGAIN, at a different seam. Three coats and three times the coat tears at various seams. This is a very poorly made coat, buyer beware. Never had such a poorly made coat.Update, after receiving a new Jacket from Amazon returns (not Legendary Whitetails) the pocket tore AGAIN after about 2 months of use. Same tear, right at the seam. Unfortunately, this just is not a well made item. Legendary Whitetails provided me a replacement, which is nice, but probably a 2.5 star product given two tears at the seam of the pocket.First, I do LOVE this jacket, very comfortable and nice feel. But I had this coat for about 3 weeks. One button popped off, and then a tear along the seam of the front pocket, just from casual wear. The fact that it tore right at the pocket seam tells me poor manufacturing. Amazon allowed me to return it for another as it was only 3 weeks. So I am disappointed with the qualify, especially as I love the coat all around. If the new one lasts after a few months, I will increase my rating as I love the jacket. But if it tears again....un-exusable.
