This works really well!
Flashed mine with Tasmota and ZHABridge. I think this item pairs with my zigbee devices significantly quicker and more successfully than my cc2531 stick (with or without antenna) and more importantly allows me to place the bridge further away from my Pi and Orbi which seem to generate significant interference.10/10 would buy again. Super nice of them to expose the pins on the PCB, I've ruined a device or two by accidentally ripping the pads off ESPs.Only con: They don't include a cable with this by the way!

Flashed with Tasmota for Home Assistant
I’m using my Zigbee bridge with home assistant. Flashed it with Tasmota which is really easy with a YouTube video. After paired my Zigbee door sensor with it and it works perfectly. Super responsive and did not need any fiddling around with.

Might be fine, but instantly returned for me.
I'm mad. I got this for a Sonoff temperature sensor I also purchased. I did this so I can trigger Alexa or google home routines. BUT NO.Right out of the gate the pairing process to my wifi failed. I had to look up an alternative method of pairing on the internet for it to work. The connection was really poor. It took 4 attempts to pair and 3 attempts to upload a firmware update to the Sonoff. This may be caused by my default 2021 ATT router but still. After a time on that and pairing the temp sensor I find out that my time was wasted.Turns out you can look at the temp in Alexa, but you can't trigger a routine! WHAT IS THE POINT!?Here's the point: You CAN PAY Sonoff (MONTHLY!) to let you use IFTT. But NO!! This is just a scam on Sonoff's part, straight-up predatory. From what I have seen SOME of sonoff's products have innate Alexa triggers, so maybe those products would be fine, and this hub would be ok to go with them. But I personally will never buy a Sonoff product again. I will not pay Sonoff to let me use IFTT!

Works very well with Sonoff devices
The Sonoff hub works well with Sonoff devices, but not Aqara zigbee. The value is great. I’m using it with Sonoff relays to control a radiant heating system. The software allows if-then routines so that the relays can trigger other devices. Email support answers questions by the next day.

Perfect!
A cheap Zigbee hub that works great! I'm excited to start adding more Zigbee devices to my home automation setup.

Good with Tasmota. Garbage with the default firmware.
First off, I was very surprised that this didn't really come with *anything*. It was smaller than I expected for some reason (about 3.5" x 3.5" x 0.75"). It came in a thin cardboard box only big enough to fit it and a very small square of paper instructions that were pretty much useless. No micro usb cable for power (there'd be no way they could fit one in the box it comes in). To some degree you get what you pay for and I'm sure this was to save on its cost. Fortunately most people have more than a few of these to spare. I'm guessing pretty much any adapter will work (low power) but there's nothing printed anywhere on the paper or the device that I could find. I figured I would give this a try with the default firmware first. I unfortunately couldn't get this to pair with their app to save my soul. I decided instead of returning it I'd flash it with Tasmota which was kind of my original plan (even though I hadn't used the Tasmota firmware before). It required pulling it apart (easy enough) and soldering some small wires. While well documented on how to do this conversion to Tasmota online, if that isn't something you're comfortable with or don't want to void your warranty, I'd pass on this device. It seems to work great for home assistant either with ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT for Zigbee devices. I was hoping that it would let me use some Phillips Hue motion detectors without one of their hubs in Home Assistant. Unfortunately no such luck (even though supposedly it's supported in Tasmota). So maybe something with the Phillips Hue compatibility, or maybe something I'm doing wrong. Regardless, it seems to work great for the Aqara stuff I'm using with the 3rd party firmware.

Flashed to Tasmota
I did not even power this on with the stock firmware. Flashed it to Tasomta straight out of the box and setup with ZHA and it's been working solid for the past 3 months. Have added all sorts of Zigbee devices from cheap China stuff to Jasco switches and everything works flawlessly.

Tasmota + Z2M works great
I reflashed this with Tasmota and am using it with Zigbee2MQTT. It works great and flashing was more mentally daunting than technically difficult - many guides have great instructions with pictures. I’m glad I did it as it is so much more reliable than the ConBee II.
