This is a must if you cook your own pizzas. You can fool around with a normal sized spatula. But why?

This is not a top of the line peel or anything, but it performs exactly as I expected it to and it gets the job done. I wasn't looking for anything fancy to begin with. Watch out for the rivets, as they can grab onto the dough when you're loading a pie into the oven. If you're working with a high-hydration dough be sure to use a good amount of flour or semolina to keep it from sticking.It's a good peel with a basic design. An excellent deal considering the price.

Overall this pizza peel is great for retrieving your pie from the oven. Very sturdy and nice long handle.At first, I also tried using it to launch my pizza in the oven but didn't work as well for that. Mostly, that's because metal tends to stick to the dough much more so than wood. I highly recommend a wood peel for making and launching your pizza. Also, the size of this one limited how large my pizza could be since you need to assemble your pizza already on the peel.I did take off one star since threading the handle into the spatula requires sooo many twists to fully seat. It takes about 40 hand cranks (probably 20 twenty full revolutions) to insert/remove. I store mine with the handle removed so something I deal with every time I bake a pie. The work duty of this device doesn't need that fine thread to that depth for this light application.

Metal is easily unscrewed from the wood so it’s easy to clean, sturdy BUT it appears to be all one piece and therefore more expensive than it actually is.I bought a rubbed bronze, 3M Command hook (also on Amazon) and attached it to the side of my kitchen cabinet that houses the oven; I used the leather hanging loop that comes attached to the wooden handle & the whole thing just hangs in my kitchen right where I need it & I reclaimed some unused space.A great deal; works like a charm, easy to clean, and looks like I spent way more than I actually did.

Originally bought this for in the house when making pizza. Well we finally finished our outside pizza oven and it ended up going g outside. Really nicely made. I love that the handle comes off. My husband's only complaint is he wants a longer handle for it. But since it wasn't bought for the pizza oven not an issue. So far it's very sturdy and wouldn't be hard to make a longer handle for it.

Haven't had it too long, maybe a few month but it works just as good as my ooni peel. My only concern is where the handle screws into the metal part seems like it could be a weak point for some of my heavier pizzas. But havnt had any issues yet. For the price it was worth it to me to try it. Also is very thin, not weak at all, but it scoops under the pizza almost better I think then my ooni peel

Took a while for me to find a decent sized pizza peel. I bought a much more expensive wooden one a year or so earlier, but, it was Wayyyy too small a surface area to accommodate even a 10" pizza. And it's odd shape makes it even more difficult to fit.**THIS product surface area is much better (sufficient), plus it has a long handle which is ideal for getting it in and out of your oven without blasting your arms and face w/ HIGH heat.Get it, it's pretty nice.
