This book provides greater clarity on what praise is, and how it brings us into more intimate friendship with and love for God. Praise is not a button to press on heaven's vending machine. Praise brings us closer to God's very heart and purpose for our lives. We were made for His glory.

I went to this church as a young woman after a bad marriage. It really is right on and changed my relationship from begging God to do what I wanted, to trusting Him to chose what is best. What a life changer.

A friend of mine recommended this book to me. Quick and simple read, the concepts are revolutionary when it comes to dealing with this lost world. The writer gives you plenty of biblical background and offers the idea of gratitude in a different light. I will read again and again. For those of you how are interested in christian reading materials, I highly recommend this book as part of your collection. Never have I read a book that has changed my life for the better like this book has! This book is the best and is an easy read! If you are ready to learn about God and Learn how to Forgive and Apply Forgiveness in you life this is the book for you!

Elegant in it's simplicity, profound in it's depth.I'm always cautious about books that friends say are 'must reads' for certain situations. We all have a desire for quick and easy answers and I find those to be more often shallow and distracting than actually helpful in addressing fundamental issues. So I was very reluctant to read this the first time it was suggested to me more than 20 years ago, but I did because I trusted the man who gave it to me, and I was desperately in need of hope...It's an easy read, but very hard to forget. It's still with me two-and-a-half decades later, and so is my family which was very much at risk during my 'hell' that led me to a place of listening. No short answers here, but easy to grasp concepts that can change lives in the contexts of deep pain and our relationship to a God that never stops loving us.

People do truly live in hell when they harbor unforgiveness and bitterness. Forgiving deep hurts is not easy, but the amazing testimonies in this book should help those who want to be set free but are having trouble forgiving deep wounds.

Thank God for the work that He did in Merlin's life, that we might share the wisdom endowed him of the Holy Spirit through Christ Jesus' blood in the many books this man has brought to both new and confirmed converts/disciples of Christ. Mr. Carothers book series is an incredible tool in the life of born again believers as are these other titles: "The Tongue - A Creative Force" by Charles Capps, "The Power of the Positive Confession of God's Word" and "If Nobody Reaches Nobody Gets Touched" by Don GossettPraise God for the miracles of healing and for the correction of wrong teaching that these servants have been blessed by God to manifest here in this place through these texts in support of the Word of God.

I was struggling with guilt over wrong choices and especially ways I had wronged others. This book helped me to completely let that go! I am so free! Also, it is helping me to give real thanks in every situation and have so much joy that I never thought I could have. And I'm not even finished with the book yet!
